Hopefully this video will be able to be seen.
It is with Levi Brown and BranDon Snow on the sidelines and to me shows the fire inside Brown...I know many of you have seen this video but for the people who haven't or who think Brown lacks the fire and desire...WATCH
AND SEE!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igNRxKai1mE

I like Levi Brown and think he can be a really really good tackle in the NFL. He's not going to WOW anyone like Walter Hones, Ogden, Roaf and other stud LTs, but he can get the job done. I think #9 might be a little high for him, but in a year of weak left tackles, his value goes way up.

I'd like to see video of him actually playing if anyone has any.

Ozzy rules!!

I saw it when it happened...

Brown might be a vocal player...I just don't happen to think he is a franchise LT...maybe a good RT...maybe...you don't spend the 9th pick on that...I just can't justify it...and I'm a PSU grad.

You go with the best player at 9...and the consensus is that you'll be picking between Branch, Brown, Okoye, and Landry (Branch may slip on work ethic even lower). I think Okoye is the right pick...May not be the biggest need...but I think he'll be the best player especially down the road. Honestly, its a shame we went safety last year...because Landry has stud potential...but S two years in a row is highly debateable especially with Y. Bell still in the fold. You'd be admitting J. Allen is a bust after one year.

Quinn doesn't slip to us...and Ginn probably is sliding a little bit past where we pick.

One think to keep in mind is that this draft must produce 3-4 starters for us minimum with max impact. You can't miss at 9...and you can't reach for a LT if you don't believe he is really there. I'd rather go Okoye, and then take my shot at a Justin Blaylock, Ugoh, Staley...etc at pick 40 if need be.

I can justify Brown as the #9 pick (and likewise, i'm a PSU grad as well). I think it's a little high for him based on talent, but this draft if WEAK at LT and LT is Miami's biggest need by far. Brown is a guy that has started a ton of games at PSU and with his experience, could step in and start right away. He's a good run blocker with the ability to be a good pass blocker, just shows weak technique at times. But he's still solid. I'd take him over Branch, a lazy DT.

I agree that you take the best player at 9 and Brown is not it...I don't think Okoye is the right fit for our defence tho...he's not a real NT...Branch on the other hand is a real NT and could be the pick...but if Ginn proves to be healthy then I think we're gonna take him at 9 if not move down a few spots and still take him....what this teams needs the most is to score points and Ginn would help us do that.

Ozzy rules!!

#9 is too high for Ginn. This draft is deep with receivers and i think he's a little overrated right now. He's extremely fast, but runs sloppy routes and doesn't seem like the guy to make tough catches in crowds of defenders. He's a vertical guy like Moss, but like Moss, i don't know if he's much else yet. He can be, but he has to work on his game. He might be another Troy Williamson type. After Calvin Johnson, the most NFL ready WR is Dwayne Bowe.

Levi Brown vs Alan Branch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6dyhcnFCMI

Here is a video on parts of last seasons game.
Levi Brown plays LT #67
Alan Branch plays Right DT #80

It's a bias Michigan video but at least it gives some idea.
In this video, Levi Brown does a decent job blocking his man. Michigan gets a good rush against PSU's RT and for some reason PSU keeps trying to block the other DE (Woodley) with RB Tony Hunt.
Alan Branch gets double teamed on every play but still gets into the back field on occasion.

How many times are you going to post this video???

I didn't see any fire in him in this video!! The other player had more fire in him than Brown and he didn't back down one inch from Brown!!

Show me some game footage of Brown and you might be able to convince me that he is or might be a stud LOT in the NFL.

Right now I'm leaning towards Landry (sure bet), Ginn Jr (or one of the other top 6 WRs), Brown or Staley. I might not be upset with one of the top 3 CBs either. Hell, I might even be happy with Russell or Quinn if one of them fall to #9.

Just no more DL or LBs or RB until the 3rd or 4th round.

People on this board wont see Brown stumping his man time after time, instead, they will see how great Michigan was at rushing the passer from all angles and alot of these plays are coming from the other side.

Unfortunately, people dont see how Brown is a LT. Which is a shame because i think alot of people do not have a clue. He would not be rated high and stay high if he were a bust. Its that simple. People regard him as a good LT, not a RT although i am sure he could play the position. to me the draft goes like this at 9.

Quinn
Brown
Landry
Okoye/Branch

I agree with that. Levi Brown holds his own against a very good Michigan defense. The rest of the OL just can't handle it.

Levi Brown should be a good NFL LT. How good remains to be seen because he needs to work on his conditioning and technique. I'm sure Houck can fix that and if he can I think Brown can be dominating. I wouldn't mind Brown at #9 at all.

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM MY FRIEND
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I POSTED THIS VIDEO....FIRST TIME

If you want game footage go research and find it yourself...

This thread was JUST to show what I believe his fire and desire and NOTHING more...It didn't state that he is our future franchise left tackle nor did it state we should draft Levi but I have replies going into every scenerio in the world on who, what and where we should draft or even worse SOMEONE asking HOW MANY TIMES AM I GOING TO POST THIS VIDEO...The answer to that question MR DOUGSFINFAN is ONE TIME...THE FIRST AND LAST...

Great. Thanks for posting. Whatever we do on the OL we certainly need athletes with attitude! I love players with FIRE! Levi would be a welcome addition to our team --- just not sure where his “value position†in the draft is.

Perhaps he falls some, but it seems to me there could be a run on OL somewhere in the second half of the 1st round --- which could leave us with leftovers (especially at T) if we keep our #9 slot and draft another position.

I’d like to see us trade down to somewhere between 15-21, pick up some extra draft capital and select the best available OT with our first pick, and then get C and G in 2nd – 3rd rounds. I would also go for a bulldozer TE and a sledgehammer FB and get ready to play some NASTY football feeding Ronnie the ball 25+ per game.

Thus, a power offense coupled with our D should be a good combination (as in a ‘teamâ€Â). A “team†actually worth watching. A team that takes the pressure off the QB position (until either CPep is back to form or we develop another starter).

But I say it all starts up front --- and our #1 priority is OL, and whatever else we solve this draft is a bonus…

I think your outlook is very good and I hope the team takes the direction that you have described.Very positive and upbeat is a good thing and I think
with all our draft picks it will be a very interesting draft day.

Thank you for a great post,

Brown is a great run blocker and in most situations, he literally can just thump you time after time. His only problem is speed rushers with multiple moves but Levi is not the kind of player who would just absolutely suck all day. He is the kind of player who would just react and re-establish his prowess.

The thing to me is.......he would be absolutely great for Ronnie and Ricky. Great punch and once he locks on its over. If we run the ball with authority, the pass blocking becomes less a concern because speed rushers take themselves out of plays alot by doing that.
