I am new on this board, i've been a Dolfan since 1st grade, we were undefeated that year which explains my age (40 years old) I've seen alot of Dolphins football in my days but this is the first time since the man with the anvil jaw use to pace the sidelines (Don Shula) , that we are addressing a very important need , it's long overdue but we finally have a coach that knows you can not win championships or be too sucessful in the playoffs with a good offensive line, that's why I say it's going to happen this Saturday, if Quinn is not there at 9 which looks like he won't , we really need to draft big Levi Brown, i see him being around a long time like #78 (Richmond Webb). I feel it is time to get that silly Jimmy Johnson philosophy that you don't pick O-linemen early and throw it out the window, I'm sorry guys but i want to see some TD"s this year!:)

i wouldnt be upset with Levi Brown.
I wouldn't be excited about him either.

after weeks of excitement with the thought of Brady Quinn - I'm starting to prepare myself for the announcement of Levi Brown as our selection....

I agree 100%

Boomer said he would much perfer to draft Joe Staley instead of Levi Brown if I'm not mistaken.

Welcome to the site……………I was 11 when we went undefeated and that was a really great time to be a dolphin fan………………………I’ve looked at so many “mock drafts†that I want to throw up………..one day we will do this, the next day we will do something else, it’s really a big guessing game. On the positive side the draft will really be fun to watch this year because no one knows where anyone is going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If would could trade down a few slots and pick up Joe Staley that to me would be better then Brown at #9.

Why I agree that o-lin if very important and u should draft them, I do not believe Brown is a top 10 type of an LT. I think we should give Alibi and some a chance this year, then if he does not work out draft LT next year cause next years LT prospects are far better then this year.
Rank Player Height Weight Year School
1 Jake Long 6-7 315 Jr. Michigan
2 Sam Baker 6-5 305 Jr. USC
3 Gosder Cherilus 6-7 320 Jr. Boston College
4 Kirk Barton 6-6 310 Jr. Ohio State
5 Heath Benedict 6-6 320 Jr. Newberry
6 Barry Richardson 6-7 335 Jr. Clemson

Both Long and Barker were ranked ahead of Brown this year if they had come out. Plus that is just the SR's. If Gaither declares it gets even deeper as he may have Pace type talent.

Just bgreen i hear ya , i've seen alot of mock drafts, rememember the days there were 12 rounds and not much attention towards it. I'm really psyched cuz we have a totally different philosphy with coach Cameron, he is old school and the closest thing we have had to Shula in ideas, i live close to Wayne Huizenga and i see him hangout once in a while with Shula, i often wonder if he gets alot of advise lately from Shula. Cameron believes it statrs in the trenches, i guess it takes a offensive minded coach to understand the great importance of drive blocking and pass protecting, with out the 2 you have nothing, we will score this year, people will be really surprised and we all will say "why did'nt we think of this before"!

I prefer Brown, but clearly Staley and an extra pick or two would the better scenario.

the only real question about Levi (besides athleticism) is if he'll play RT or LT. Not a big deal, but with Carey that could be a problem. Brown is a mauler though.

Staley is very athletic and can still get bigger but will probably take longer to develop.

There are probably 4 OTs in this draft that will be above average starters in the NFL in a couple years (Thomas,Brown,Staley, and Doug Free in the 2nd/3rd round)
