Lex Hilliard looks like a beast so far. Of course there will be folks saying "oh well he is only running against their seconds or thirds". Man, he has been very fun to watch. We have a traffic jam at RB, but i honestly believe someone out there is watching and if we try to stash him on our practice squad, someone is going to steal him from us.

I REALLY want this guy on our roster. But I don't see who gets cut for him. Cobbs is too versatile, Ricky still plays an important role, and we don't know if Lex can play fullback..

I totally agree, but when you look at the fact that it now looks like we will be keeping five Corners & five Wide Recievers I see room for Lex. Nobody has really stuck out to me as the sixth reciever. London can play ST, but the guy is being outplayed by Turner and Hartline. I defitnetly do not see Chris Williams staying. At the end of the day I see Lex staying.

Lex Hilliard has looked impressive, but is losing the 4th best RB on your team that big of a deal?

As much as Hilliard has done already he makes the opening day roster.... He's a beast. Bad news for the wide receiver crew. We will probably only carry 5 now, with us being such a 'run heavy' team.

During both games so far, i notice some guy BLASTING through the line......both games something like that caught my eye and both times it ended up being Lex. WOW!

Is keeping 4 backs uncommon? I'd like to know. I certainly would not mind keeping 4. Especially if it means Lex is with us.

Still not sure I buy that logic. Last year we had 4 and sometimes only 3 WR's active, and never brought a 4th RB. We had 2 FB's for a while, and if Hilliard proves he can play it - which he's yet to do - that's the only way I see him making the team.

That's what we said about Cobbs and look at him now. Yea, Hilliard might be going against 2nd and 3rd stringers but the guy is running hard on every carry. He also has the speed to get out to the outside, he is just a total beast.

Yes, he's still has to prove it when the lights go on, but you see a new commitment from him, something that has caught all our eyes. If it's come to our attention I'm sure Tony Sparano has figured it out. At some point RW is going to leave the program and replacing him with a 6th round project would go a ways toward offsetting all he has cost this franchise. A lot of posters have talked about 'who could we trade for draft choices' and RW ( or even Hilliard himself) might be of some value somewhere. IMHO if you put him on the PS he's gone and we get nothing for him. I think the front office is too savy to do that.

I hope we keep him just because I like the guy but do we need him? Getting to 53 is going to be a tough task this yr........Maybe we can get a low draft pick for him.

Another draft pick from last yr that looks like a winner.........Last yr draft is looking better and better every year.......hopefully we can say thing about this yrs draft.....

he plays hard these final 2 preseason games . . . he will make the team.

I said this in the chat room . . . u have Ronnie and Ricky as FA's after this season . . .and Cobby on one more year I think . . . . how do u cut a guy who fits the mold of RB we need and we have developed him. Same thing with Moses, u can't cut him, u gotta make room for him on the roster . . . JT and JP are both old.

I didn't have them on my offseason projections . . . . but I need to add room for both of these guys.

These things happen... The fact is RB is one of the few areas where we have true depth... You can only 'hide' guys so long and he deserves to play... if it isn't with us well c'est la vie.

If he has one more outing like the last two weeks, he'll bump-off a 5th or 6th receiver and make this squad IMO.

Ricky still looks good, but he's not getting any younger so ... yeah I can see him as the second fullback - on paper anyway.
