Am i the only one that thinks that Lex Hilliard will keep the running game going along with Ricky? I have a feeling that we will be just fine if Lex gets his opportunity to shine. Book it!

If your right then say good bye to R.Brown! Their not gonna pay a running back big money that can't finish a season especially if we don't miss a beat with him out.

If they try to shoehorn Lex into a Wildcat role, he will suck.

But he can probably power his way between the tackles for a few yards here and there. All I want is for him to give Ricky a breather from time to time without coughing the ball up.

I'm wondering why people think Lex will get any carries, if any at all. Did Sparano hint at something. I'm expecting Ricky to get Ronnie's usual touches and Polite to get Ricky's.

Its just what i think will happen. Polite is good but i don't see him as a runner hes more of a blocker. I mean he can get 1-3 yards but I think Lex can do a better job of breaking out longer runs.

Well this is why why we have a 150+ million dollar o-line - to keep a running game going not matter the back.

If we can weather the storm of losing Ronnie, than we have some leverage over negotiations in the off -season. That is if they had wanted to re-sign Ronnie.

fair enough. I guess we'll find out. Would not be surprised if they go for a smashmouth type of run game with Ricky and Polite though.

You all kn0w Lex will only get the ball a few times......................right?

Like "few" as in around 3 times not 15 times.

Personally I'm interested in seeing what Sheets can do. Lex is sort of a known quantity - we know what kind of runner he is.

Ok... I LOVE Ronnie Brown, I think he is a great player and possibly an even better person (from what I know), but realistically he has only played 16 games one time so far. I dont think he is done or past his prime, and i'd love it if Miami resigned him.. HOWEVER.. How would people feel about Mark Ingram (if he dropped to us) in the draft?? I know i'm getting off topic and a little ahead of myself, but I just figured i'd raise the question.

People would probably feel good about it but Parcells probably couldn't care less. It's well known he believes you can find good running backs in later rounds.

It would present an excellent trade-down opportunity as I'm sure if he actually fell to us there would be teams salivating to get him.

Unless he looks good out there if he just breaks one for 15 yds in those few times then maybe he will get 10-15 carries... just my opinion.

this games running attack will be a lot more on the O line than on whatever Rb is rushing. Ronnie can make things happen by himself, and he falls forward allowing him to pick up those hidden yardage-which really makes him so good. Ricky is a very balanced RB and he will open up everything the line allows him to. If the line can make holes we win. If not it doesnt matter if we have Adrian Peterson, MJD, Ronnie or whoever else is in the backfield-we wont be able to run. I dont c lex as a runner that makes things happen-very few are, but he is a smart block reading runner who can get the yards he is sopposed to get from the O line. which is good unlike Morroney who is a terrible yard finder/dancer
