This guy saw alot of field yesterday, especially after Ricky went down. I personally love him. Although he needs to work on his vision, he runs with a purpose and I like his second and third efforts. Another thing I like, is him catching out of the backfield. I'd much rather see him on 3rd downs then Ricky. Maybe Lex is a bright spot at the RB position for the future.

Hilliard is solid and a nice player to have. Not every player on the roster will be a super star. You need role players who do their jobs when called on. Hilliard did exactly what was asked of him and produced when we needed it.

He did a great job and agree with u in that Williams should never be out there on 3rd down. It should be Ronnie, Cobbs or Hilliard.

I like him a lot and he never has the smerk on his face like williams does after he screws up. I just want cobbs back we miss our home run hitter

I don't know about being better than ricky but I like him and he can only get better as far as vision is concerned

Lex played real well yesterday . . . and this kid runs HARD.

I hope he is a Dolphin for a long time . . . hey I said it in another thread and I will say it in here . . . . if we traded Ronnie for a 1st and drafted Spiller . . . I think we could potentially have a dangerous little thunder and lightning combo with those 2. Better than CJ and Lendale over time.

Of course that is the Madden in me talking and there is no way in hell I pass up Spikes/McClain for ANYBODY, unless Berry/Suh slips lmao.

Average?? Dog...we gotta lock Lex up in a contract. My man stepped in yesterday with our 2 big dogs down, and absolutely did what was asked of him times 10. I like him. He's got what it takes to be a really good NFL RB. He can be what LJ was a couple years ago. He bum rushes that line when he gets the ball, he doesn't go down easy, nor on first contact. He fights for every yard, & if he got 15-20 carries a game (which we may see this week), he can wear a D-Line down by halftime.

Granted this is my opinion, however, check out some analysts talk about him. They kind of say the same thing. We got a gem with him, in the sense that he's our 3rd RB, & isn't costing us a fortune. He's gonna have a good pay day coming up bc with more play, he's gonna prove himself & value.

I'm really happy we got Lex. He plays with heart, gives it his all on every play, & when Ricky is no longer with us (not that I want this...love Ricky) but it's inevitable, it is good to know that we have Lex to step in & not miss a beat. We let go of a very similar player a few years back that haunts us DolFans every Sunday. We ask WHY?? Why did we give Bellidick this awesome player for a 5th rd pick?? Yeah...Wes Welker. Lex plays with the same style & heart. And I'd bet everything that if we let him go, Bellidick would be 1st in line to get him, & we'd again be asking WHY??

But I don't think that's gonna happen. I believe Lex will be a Phin for a while, & I'm very happy about that. Keep up that hard nose no bs old school running Lex. I think I speak for the majority of DolFans by saying...we are very happy to have you & support you.

Good post for giving Lex his props. He's been overlooked all year bc of his lack of playing time, but he came up big a lot in the limited times he had the ball this year.

PS--I do like Cobbs too. But honestly, I really believe that Lex has a bigger future ahead of him than Cobbs. And that's no disrespect at all to Cobbs, dude is good & I like him. But I see that "little something extra" in Lex, that makes no-names into stars in a season or 2. He's only really known by us right now, but in 2 years, maybe next year, Lex Hilliard will be known across the league. Just my prediction...remember what a prediction is before you jump all over me for saying this. Haha...I have very high expectations for Lex, & the way he plays tells us that so does he. He's not content being a 3rd down back, he plays like he's trying to show us that he's a topnotch back, now that's up to him to prove & see if he is. But I think that he can be a big time RB. Run Lex Run!!!

Hmm. I actually think that Hilliard may be traded. Now I like Hilliard, but it just seems that this coaching staff is more enamored with Cobbs. Being that they are the same 'type' of player, they are basically battling for the same spot next year. Who stays, who goes? Hilliard will probably get us a second day pick before Cobbs does.

I really like Lex, he's doing a great job. I also really like Ricky, but truth be told, he isn't a #1 RB and looks kinda uncomfortable taking that role. He stays at #2 next year.

As much as I like Lex, Ronnie, Ricky and Cobbs are the trio I wanna see on the field. We should trade Lex as he now has some value. Other things need addressing...
