Was just compiling a rough depth chart, and looks fairly solid, only a few holes i see.

LG (unless Mormino can move over don't know much of Darilek or Ndukwe)

#1 WR (Ginn has the speed but his size might make it hard to get off the line, Wilford has the size and hands to be a possesion receiver)

Cover Corner (Allen did ok last year but no shut down corner on the team)

QB (Beck might end up being a decent QB in the future, McCown played decent n some bad teams)

i would be fine with starting the season with Ginn as the #1 WR. Im not saying were set at that position, quiet the contrary actually i think we should definitely be looking to draft a WR with an early pick but like i said, im happy with Ginn being numero uno.

We need a good young prospect at corner BAD !

At least at WR we have young up and comers there. At least there is something bright to look forward to as Ginn and Wilford are young.

But we have NO ONE at corner that is young and up and coming.. Will Allen will be 30 when the season starts. And the rest of them stink. We need corners ! Here's hoping Cason lands to 32 and we grab him ! That would make me a very happy man.

With this being such a good and deep draft for corners, it is Imperative we grab a real good one in the first two rounds.

I agree with you. If we do move Jason Taylor for a 2nd and a 4th I would like to see us grab Antoine Cason, and the best WR and G available in the second round. It gives us the shut down corner we need to pair alongside Will Allen. Bell and J Allen fill the safety spots. We have Porter, Adell, and Crowder at LB. We would need to find another OLB and we could look in the 3rd round or possibly 2nd if a G or WR isn't worth the pick we're at and an OLB is. And then we have Randy Starks, Jason Ferguson and Vonnie Holliday on the line. Our offense would also be complete as we would have the offensive line filled, QB i think is set with Beck, RB we have Brown, Williams and Booker, WR we would have Ginn, Hagan, Wilford and a Rookie. Of course TE we have Fasano. I would still want to add a RB and TE on the second day of the draft though.

Te still have Martin and Peele, RB Gado is still a free agent i believe, rather go for a WR or OL

Hoping we draft another rookie and duplicate the Webb & Sims draft.

Unless someone spectacular falls to us, Ginn can be No.1.

Agree.
QB (Beck might end up being a decent QB in the future, McCown played decent n some bad teams)
Same as above, unless someone spectacular falls to us, Beck can be No.1, hoping we draft someone as insurance.

Agree whole heartedly that CB becomes a top need for round two. Bring on Cason.

Dont see it with his character concerns, but he is a player.

Meh on Flowers. He is a midget 5'9 corner. I don't like that with all the big receivers in this league.

Give me Cason anyday. I really like him

Either Cason at 2a or Molden, Godfrey at 2b.. Those are better options than Flowers. However, if a D-lineman falls though I could see Parcells going there looking at his history.

We also need a young NT to groom to replace Ferguson. And we need another RB as Ricky Williams insurance, but that could be someone taken in the last two rounds.

So, for key immediate needs, we have:
1. Starting LG, or RT if Vernon Carey moves to LG
2. #3 WR with the potential to be a #1- this year's draft class is too weak to find a true #1
3. Starting CB- Will Allen is fine, but we can upgrade over Lehan/Goodman
4. Young NT- needs to play this season as part of a rotation, and start next year
5. another young QB to compete with Beck

And we only have 3 legitimate picks left, as the 6th and 7th rounds are real crapshoots. I think it's pretty likely we trade JT for some additional picks in the first 4 rounds.

Corner is the glaring need.

They've upgraded a lot of positions already via trades but I don't remember a CB being brought in...

They re-signed Michael Lehan and signed Nate Jones from the Cowboys. And when they signed Keith Davis and Chris Crocker for S, they moved Daniels back to CB. Still, Lehan, Jones, Daniels, and Goodman are all probably better suited to being nickel or dime backs. So, CB could certainly be a need. But, it could wait until next year. We won't fill all our needs this season.

LG is the most glaring need. We don't have anyone capable of starting there, unless we plan on moving Vernon Carey there, which might happen. And in that case, RT becomes the most glaring need.

Nahhh CB can't wait until next year . . . isn't Allen in the final year of his contract? Who says we resign him? Wouldn't u rather have a CB ready with a year under his belt . . . u HAVE to get a CB . . . all those other guys are like u said . . . better suited as nickel CB's . . . Lehan can start in a pinch . . . and probably will start this season . . . but u need to groom a young guy. We can find a LG . . . whether Mormino or in FA . . . u wont find a young CB so easy.

Good Assessment but.....

Why do I feel like I am the only one concerned about our defensive line.

I think we really need some ends and here's why:

Compare when Vonnie Holliday was out last year to when he was there; Our run defense was markedly different and to expect Vonnie to play the 3-4 end
(i.e. The staunch run defending end) at his age, size (6-4, 283) and injury history this year, would be folly.

Also, Matt Roth and Rod Wright doesn't seem to be well thought of. Outside of Jason Ferguson and Randy Starks, where do we go ?

As a few people have mentioned, I really think the Trifecta is looking at Calais Campbell as a "Chris Canty" type-end. But this is an area in my mind, that needs more depth than LB, S or CB.

Am I really the only one that thinks this.....:rolleyes2:
