Could this have been his last Fins game?

Is so, fair play to Lindy, signing off in style. That boot is enormous.

If so, thanks for all you've done as a Dolphin. One of my favourite players of recent years, contributing so much to the team, particularly in team spirit.

Thoughts?

It's not like he's Marino, Clayton, Duper, or Zach or JT. Style-shmile... he cost us games this year with misses, while also costing us almost 2.5 mil. There are lots of decent guys in the NFL. He isn't worth what he's paid. He should go, and with NO parade...

Mare's contributed quite a bit over the years, but it seems he's overstayed his welcome. This game is a nice cap for his time here, though.

Wonder which kicker we're spending our 6th round pick on.

Olindo Mare has a strong leg but declining accuracy. As far as Lindy, I haven't seen her kick but heard she has nice legs.

I think he stays on. It is still hard to get rid of a guy with that much talent. Who would replace him? Mare has history in Miami and that goes a long way. He might take a small pay cut. I'm sure he will get another shot next season. MAybe if he can't get it together in 2007, he goes into retirement.

I think he stays with a pay cut and Fins bring in someone (unsigned rookie, prehaps) to give him some competition.

Sure he had a good game, but the fact is that when we need big (not to mention easy) field goals, he misses them. 10 missed field goals this year and 3 of those were under 40 yards.

I think he'll be back next year. Sure he had a bad season, but he's still one of the top kickers in the league probably, and theres really nobody else for us to replace him with.

Because of his good game today I think he will be back.

Mare finally had a good game for once....too little too late.

Nope Mare comes back. He's got a serious boot and showed today that when put into position to be succesful, he does.

That Jets games he missed a FG in... that was like a 54 yarder. I don't put the game on him. I don't think we even broke 17 pts that game.
