I love what this guy has done with our offense. Without a QB or O-line he has given our offense life. He spreads out defenses better then any OC that Miami has ever had and I would like to know who you linehan haters would suggest as a replacement.

I agree to some extent. He just needs to forget his bias with Gus and use his running game in a conservative manner. He might be under the pressure of trying to get Miami away from the old running game and has just taken it too far.

When your 2 best players are your RB's and you have 2 downs to get 2 yards, you run the ball. He did a horrible job of playcalling today. How many reverses has he called this year?

I love the guy's creativity, but at some point in time you have to be smart enough to identify your strength and use it. Gus is clearly not the strength of the Miami offence. Putting the ball in his hands with the game on the line was a terrible call.

What game are you watching? Who cares about spreading people out when you're getting away from the main weapon you have in your running game! Let's see, 2nd and 3 and we run a double reverse 10 yards deep into our backfield, knowing all season long our O-line hasn't been able to sustain blocks long enough in order for it to be successful. Or better yet, we have them on their heels, we could've blew on their D-line and they would've fallen over, yet we decided to put the ball in Gus's hands to win the game when he was nothing but BAD all game long.

The man doesn't understand the importance of developing a rhythm in whatever you do on offense. He's all over the spectrum with his play-calling and our personnel simply cannot adapt to it.

he'll be a better oc when we get a good quarterback

BINGO! Smart call, dude!!! It's common sense, really! It seems like Scott's not using his right now. I expect Saban to have a talk with him about this, and fix the situation.

In the 4th quarter wtih 8 minutes left they called 3 consecutive pass plays, WTF???

Last I checked the O line had a good day today with ZERO sacks given up. Give me a break.

Canadafinsfan, I could not agree with you more. You have 2 running backs that are averaging 5+ yards per carry and you have 2 downs to get 2 yards. Why are you throming. And if Gus is the QB because he is a game manager why is he throwing right into coverage at that stage in the game. That is BRUTAL play calling at that point the way the fins were running the ball!!

He's really trying to take advantage of what defenses are giving him. He's also trying to catch people off guard. However, does anyone know what quality made Don Shula and makes Bill Parcells the great successful coaches that they are. They always adjusted their gameplan to fit their personnel. It seems like Linehan is sticking with his philosphy and calling the games the way he wants too regardless of our flawed personnel.

He's not playing to the strengths of his players. Right now it's running the ball, when he gets the stud QB that can execute his system, then you you pass, right now, thats not what we are good at. Gotta make the system fit the talent you have. You know you are what you are, Kinda llike Gus is what Gus is.

Yup. I think he just likes calling erratic plays, without any acknowledgement of what's actually happening on the field.

He's not in Minny anymore. We don't have Daunte or Moss. We have good RB's. We need to use them. We have every right to blame him.

Scott Linehan's mind on 3rd and 1..........

"Ummmmmm let's see here, we're running the ball down their throats right now. This game is ours, the defense is on it's proverbial heels. But really really really want to call that triple fake reverse play. Gus, run the triple.........."

You're crazy, sorry but true. Linehan calls plays only to make himself look better. He's desperately hoping everyone will rave about his one or two decent ingenuities and forget about his scattershot play callin. Afterall that is the only thing he does consistently. He is absolutely clueless in recognizing the talent on his team and constantly opts for the desperate. I would honestly trust Saban's playcalling much more than Linehan's. Fire HIM NOW!
