First off I've been pretty upset with how Linehan has called games so far. Today was an exception because I thought most of the calls were good (except again, I'd like to see a little more running by Ronnie). The only series that I can really complain about is at the end of the game when we had 4 downs and we didn't even run it once.

Chambers...what can you say about him? I've been a supporter of his since day 1 but it is becoming more and more obvious that he simply doesn't have the concentration needed to be a #1 WR. Way too many drops and big ones at that (50 yd bomb right in his hands AND a possible tying score at the end).

Finally, Reggie Howard would make good kindling because it is so easy to burn him. At the end of the game when our D has to make a stop what happens??? A long bomb completion to his man of course. He went for the pick when he could have easily just batted it down. I guess that pick would have almost sealed it for us but Reggie should know that the only INT's he gets are the ones where Aaron Brooks throws the ball right at him.

On a positive note, our D didn't allow points on the opening drive (although it was very very close).

In conclusion....

Gus actually played very well and without a doubt was one of our better offensive players today (first time I could say that since Denver)

Linehan called a better game but still needs to run with our strenghts

Chambers proved Saban right when he called him a decent WR

Howard looks like a candle cause he always gets lit up

Patience is needed cause I would be extremely surprised if the Fins can even get to .500 this year

Oh, and one more thing......

How the heck does Heath Evans run all over us like that?

Absolutely disgraceful

Reggie Howard if he is going to intercept the ball needs to go up and get the mother****er. He needs better awareness to know the his damn receiver is right behind him.

Chambers reminds me so much of Darrell Jackson.

If i was an offesnive coordinator against the dolphins i would call shotgun 4-5 WRs every play and just throw at Reggie howard, u kno out of 3 tries one will become a long gain or a touchdown

Ronnie touched the ball TWICE in the second half. That is not a good playcalling at all by Linehan and is ultimately why we lost.

I think Linehan pretty much dropped the running game in the second half. Running more would of eat up more clock, and kept our defense more rested.

I just looked at the stat line and realized that Gus threw twice as many balls as R&R ran. I didn't realize this game was so off-balance just like the others so let me take my B grade away from Linehan and give him a C-.

In all fairness though it can't really be blamed on Linehan or Gus as Gus actually played very well. What cost us was:

Chambers dropping game winning TD
Chambers dropping 50 yd bomb
McMicheal fumbling after the long completion (he didn't even have to leave his feet....he could have just ran right underneath it)
Mare missing an easy FG
Howard getting lit up like a candle on the TD pass
Brutal pass interference call on Daniels (it wasn't too bad but if that one was a penalty then at least one of those fade patterns should have been called as well)

Again, too many mistakes by the dolphins. It's really frustrating watching this team come so close and then dropping one...again :(
