here is an interview from espn
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2280608

I have never heard a more revieling interview about how a candidate feels about the team. Honestly i think his candor shows his immaturity for this role. His experience for the role is watching Saban this year.... :(
he's name droping by comparing thier recievers favorably to Moss:shakeno:
I do realy like this guy as our O coordinator but i dont see the things in his interview that tell me he is ready for the next step

The texans and other organizations aren't going to base there hiring of a new coach on an interview with espn. Linehan knows what hes talking about and as much as i would like to see him stay here, i think there are too many coaching vacancies and he will draw alot of interest.

I hope he doesn't leave, but I think he's going to get an opportunity in the near future.

Another thing to take into account is in the back of NFL teams minds, they'll be thinking "Could this be another Norv Turner". I dont think he's going anywhere.

I think a lot of names our before him and the only way he gets a job is if he has a huge impression on a GM during an interview or a team is late on finding a HC and there Canidates are already gone!

What did he say that was so wrong?

Sounds like typical coach talk to me...

Man I hope he stays...I liked what I seen this year, Miami's offense wasn't predictable. It would be awesome with a good QB.

That could be true but if he has a great interview he could get a job. Let's not forget Gregg Williams was hired before Marvin Lewis, and that Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel were passed over for guys who had better interviews. I believe that St. Louis or Oakland with the weapons both teams have would be ideal for Linehan, but I don't know if he'll get either job. I think the Phins got the right head coach last year, but how soo many teams passed on Weis is beyond me. Whatever happens with Linehan, I hope he stays with the Phins, but if he gets a job, how can anyone be mad at a guy for getting a promotion, if anything that is a sign of respect. If the Phins get back to being an elite team, coaches will be given promotions, so I think it is more of a sign of the team turning the corner.

St. Louis stated they wanted to go Defensive thats what the GM said. I read it in an article on NFL.com. I also think Oakland doesn't want to grab somone with a similar style to Norv Turner even though Linehan is better I believe!

I wonder how the Interview went With linehan I hope he didn get the job cuz i want him to turn CC into a MOSs

As of right now, Norv Turner turned Moss to CC....

I don't know... with eight teams out there in need of a coach, my gut says he'll be gone by March. I hope not, but with a fourth of the league needing coaches I doubt he'll pass on the best offer. Usually all assistants want to eventually be head coach and now seems a pretty good time to go for it. If he wants a team that he has to work from the ground up, then he has the Texans. If he wants a team that is already a playoff contender, then he has the Chiefs. I'm not saying he is those teams number one option but I think he is up there.

I'd like for us to keep him here for atleast 3 more years but he is too good of a coach to be an assistant for that much longer.
