Give me a break, Saban has proven nothing in this league to warrant him not getting bashed. Holy sh**T, Wannstedt was able to get us in the playoffs with guys like fiedler and no running game. The guy had one losing season when everything went wrong, and we act like he left the team in complete shambles. Many of these guys are sabans guys, and our best players were guys that were already here. Saban's plan was not to rebuild. He thought he was going to win this season. You dont rebuild with a bunch of dlinemen in their mid 30's. This guy is in over his head, he cant call the right play on d to get the team off the field he cant come up with a good offensive gameplan. He's not facing college kids any more. His draftpicks are all unspectacular, and dont give me this evans, roth, vickerson crap, their a bunch of JAGS. He's spent 3 draft picks on Qb's, and all of them are crap.If this was wanny with the same talent, people would be killing him for being 1-5. Sean payton took over an organization in much worse shape and now has them at 5-1. Where's his 5 years to rebuild. Linehan has the rams playing great football, Mangini has the Jets at 3-3, and they have played a much tougher schedule.
Aside form the Pats all the teams weve played this year were picking in the top 10 last year. These players have no confidence in him, and Im sure all the blame at the end of the year will go to everyone but saban. this guy was treated as a god since he got in this league for no reason. Pete carroll, stoops, mack brown, all those guys have been more successfull then saban, but saban coached with Belichick 12 years ago so that automatically made him a genius, when the truth was he's anything but. He'll be back in college in 2 years.

I was at the game today and talking to fellow fin fans, you would not believe how many people think Saban stinks. This team is really stinkin it up and I for one am embrassed. We are in for a long season and a good draft pick in next years draft.

on televison he looks lost. Now he'll yell at the media tomorrow, i can picture it

"if the players dont want to win, we cant win..aight, were trying, were playing hard, but we have to learn how to win...aight."

SABAN does have that "xanax fog" look about himself on the sidelines and he seems to be mumbling to himself more often than a sane person should but I guess if I had to coach these rejects you would want to keep any sharp metal objects away from me as well as any firearms.

I would like to see him coach with more fire getting in peoples faces more often.Right now he seems like a wussy with a cap P. If only he treated the players like he does the reporters maybe they would become"motivated"

the guys an ego maniac, he wears that stupid strw hat during training camp, showed off his mansion when he go tthe job, and wrote an autobiography before he accomplished anything.

maybe he should go with the Steve Stupider Visor approach

OK...let's fire him.

We all know the best way to rebuild the team is to fire and hire a new coach/GM every 2 years.

Some of you people are HILARIOUS.

I don't wanna fire Saban, but I wouldn't mind beating him upside the head with a cluestick.

And, Sean Payton did make the right call about choosing his quarterback. Watching Drew Brees light it up every week just feels so dandy.

I was screaming about this the week of the trade, that the Culpepper fiasco was going to go down as our greatest regret of the '06 season.

Turns out hiring Mike Mularkey was a close second...

Look how well it's working out in Oakland (the coach part, at least)! :D

I hate to admit it but I think you are right this team was put together poorly they are terrible and the only good players are all 30 plus. No one can make a play on offense, This is truely sad This is worst tha 4-12 season all the signs were there for us to stink. I hated Wanny as much as anyone but we are not any better off.

Obviously Saban's going to have to take his lumps, we can let him take them or run him off and watch him succeed with a different team. How can you gameplan for your number one receiver dropping balls that hit him right on the numbers and bouncing into the DBs hands?

Wannstedt was able to get us in the playoffs? Wannstedt was handed a payoff team and ran it into the gorund.
