I think one of the major problems is the fact that we have Mularkey as the OC and we continue to use Linehan's system.

I remember thinking this may be a good thing, that way our players don't have to learn a new system. But now that i've seen the way we've played, i'm thinking maybe it was a bad idea after all.

Although being just an average fan, I can't be too sure, but I tend to believe maybe Mularkey doesn't know how to use Linehan's system.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't lLinehan's system built to pass and THEN set up the run. If I recall his days in Minnesota, DC and Moss would always tear it up because they would open the offense up with the pass and then set up the run.

meanwhile Mularkey's offense is quite different, IN FACT, it's the opposite. Mularkey's offense is built to run and then set up the pass. If I recall his days with Pittsburgh and Buffalo, where he had Kordell Stewart as his QB in the Superbowl and McGahee was tearing it up with the Bills, his offense is a run first mentality.

So maybe Mularkey is using his ways, with Linehan's system, and it just isn't working out.

Like I said, I can't be too sure, but I honestly beleive this is at least PART of the problem.

Shouldn't this have read? Great offensive cordinator vs Worthless bumb! There is no comparrison>

Linehan's offense is about using the run to set up the deep pass. Mularkey wants to use the run to set up short passes.

None of you remember the constant ******** at Linehan's play calling last year then?

[mod] please dont circumvent the profanity filter [/mod]

WE took a hit when we signed mularkey he can still come out and shape things up but we have to be more agressive.
