Actually, 1 of our 2020 4th round picks went to Houston in the Tunsil trade. Hopefully the pick from the Titans. We also traded our 2-7th rounders for Boehm & Isidora on Friday.
Wasn’t that to allow them to trade up in the previous draft? Vaguely remember that. How did we get the saints second rounder in 2020?

When we traded them our 2nd this year at the draft we got their 2nd this year and next. How did we get the saints second rounder in 2020?

yes but I am not sure how that exact process plays out with the shape of our roster nowIf we sign a decent amount of players though this offseason, wont we lose that comp 3rd?
As is, Fitzpatrick’s deal bumps the loss of RB Brandon Bolden (back to New England) off of Miami’s credit sheet, which will cost them a 2020 7th-round pick. No harm, no foul.
But, if the Dolphins built in easily attainable incentives for Fitzpatrick, the end result of his swelling pay could elevate the Fitzpatrick signing to another tier and cost the Dolphins their projected 5th-round pick (Cam Wake) in 2020.
Here’s the good news: the projected 3rd-round pick for Ja’Wuan James is completely safe no matter what. So ultimately, anything the Dolphins lose for signing Fitzpatrick to this short term deal will be easily recovered going forward.
