:shakeno:

By jones, do you mean Tebucky or Donnie?

I agree all they way to mare and mckinney. Seth has been a monstar at center this year, and if u didnt notice the line was not as good today as it has been all year. Mare will take his ussual pay cut/extension and we aint gonna find anyone better

1.yes the sooner the better
2.why?...noone will give us much for him and he still has value to this team if only as a teacher to poole daniels mitchell and a possible rookie
3.umm no we have nothing after booker and chambers
4.if he is due a bunch of money than ok but he has been decent this year wouldnt mind replacing him with backus
5.tebucky?..he was good when he played i would like to have him back if the price is right
6.who are we gonna get better than him?...noone
7.mckinney is a FA after the year but if we get bentley or hutchinson then he is probably gone.

Yes.

We're not going to get much in trade for him at this point. If he doesnt take a pay cut, good riddence. I'd like to see him retire a Dolphin, but not with his contract and his current mediocre play.

3.Booker-trade

For what? Why? What do you think we will get for him?

leinart06 said:
4.Macintosh-cut

Uh, no. Maybe ask him to take a pay cut, or switch him to Guard or something. He has done a solid job at LT.

5.jones-cut

I agree.

6.mare-cut

Maybe. He is making alot of money, but who knows?

Well, he's a Free Agent, we dont have to cut him. I like Hadnot at Center, too. It is pretty rough having to watch him deal with stunting O-linemen, but he is fine anchoring against a bullrush.

1. Yes definitely, unless some foolish GM is willing to trade for him
2. No, unless it's a really lopsided trade in our favor
3. see #2
4. I don't think so. He's not excellent but he's decent enough
5. I'm guessing you mean Tebucky, but I think he'll stay since he's cheap and we can use veteran safety depth
6. Mare's still decent, so just let him finish out his contract and retire a Fin
7. yes but see if we can resign him for cheap depth.

Mare is signed through 2008. I can see us restructuring his contract but not cutting him.

1)Reggie Howard - cut (cut twice just to make sure :D ) 2)Madison - keep around if he will lower his salary. He would be good for depth and in the nickel spot. If he doesn't want to renegotiate, then we'd have no choice but to try to trade him oe release him.
3) Booker may have to go via trade. He is another guy who is making decent money without the numbers to back it up. THe problem isn't necassarily Booker - it's that we have inconsistency problems at the QB position. Is it worth keeping Booker around one more year with, perhaps, a better QB throwing to him? Sure, as long as it's for less money. But, if we end up trading Booker, don't expect to get much out of it. Booker will more than likely be a Dolphin next year. If he isn't, unfortunately (not that it matters any more) we will basically end up GIVING Ogunleye away. Speilman stunk.
4) Macintosh may well be gone. He is making too much money. Perhaps he will be willing to take a pay-cut. He seems to like Miami. ANd he's also smart enough to know he isn't going anywhere else to make big bucks. So why not stay in Miami and be a solid back up? I wouldn't be surprised at all if this happens.
5) Jones, possibly cut but not likely.
6)Mare, we shouldn't cut him. Decent kickers are hard to find and Mare is a bit better than decent. He's still able to hit some pretty good field goals from time to time. Granted, his play has slipped a little as far as his accuracy but the man either LEADS the NFL or is very close to the top in touchbacks. THat is important too. I say he stays but takes a significant paycut.
7) McKinney....Yes, cut him. GOOD BYE!!!

it is pathetic how so many fans are happy with SOLID play. let me tell you something ppl, solid play doenst win you teh big game. it gets u to a solid season with a good season after awhile such as the prime of our team wiht our defense. solid off got us no where but a VERY good defense got us to the playoffs. now you even that out and thats a decent team. Miami had reported taht they are looking to upgrade 3 off line positions, C is the 1st, LT adn RT are the other 2. so now that ppl claim LT is decent and C is decent sorry ppl, not going to happen, Saban wants a RING not a DECENT team. TOo many fans are satisfied with solid play. you need solid play when you have GREAT players aroudn those, hence roll players in a way to explain the sitaution. Mcintosh is decent but can't match up vs fast/quick DE's and can't open up holes for teh running game. ONly guy i like this year if u take away penalties n stupid mistakes would be hadnot as he seems to get some nice blocks in once in a while. RT is pathetic, C is just as bad. yea htey did good and improved greatly but still mediocre.
