Lito Sheppard... I say why not http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5912. The Dolphins are a team that has few strengths but if we could pair Allen and Sheppard together at Cornerback we may finally have a piece of our puzzle sewn up. Theirs no doubt we will struggle this year, we will have a high draft pick and will be staring at the best players across the board from QB to LB but no player will come anything close to Sheppard next year or anytime soon their after, I think we can have him for that extra second we got from the Skins. What do you all think? :ponder:

I would do Lito and a 6th for the 2nd.

Vontae Davis will kick butt from day one and barring career ending injury will be a Hall of Famer.

I predict he'll be one of the top five cornerbacks of all time.

i would love to have Lito Sheppard and Will allen at CB and Jason Allen and Yeremiah Bell at Safty i think our secondary would be pretty good

no....

He's an injury prone corner, vastly over rated. I wouldn't give more than third round for him, and i dont even think i'd do that.

To add fuel to the fire, I was just watching NFLT and Adam Schefter just said the the every team in the NFC East was in on discussions regarding bringing in JT, and he stated that Fins and Eagles were "dangling" the idea of a JT for Lito trade... Interesting.

I'm so tired of the Lito Sheppard talk. I swear, people get on a kick here and won't let go of a certain player/idea

Bill Parcells, Jeff Ireland, and Coach Sparano know more than any of us. It's quite obvious he isn't the all world corner many of you say he is. And I intend to agree with our FO. I see him weekly if I choose to turn it on, he's not all that, I don't know what you people are raving about.

why get upset about it there isnt anything going on and what else is there to talk about ? I am not getting on to you but every time a player is on the block people are getting upset about other fans wanting a possible good player. besides they are not all like Daunte Culpeper .
in sheppards case i might be tempted to sign him or trade for him. remember Will Allen is just a inch away from being suspended .

I think we should continue to build our team the right way -- through the draft. The second round always seems to be productive with guys like Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain just a few of our team's better picks in round 2. Miami now also has the ammo to trade back up into the 1st round if they really want a player.

Although Shepperd would be very tempting.. and it all sounds fuzzy and nice because we want to win games, but I would like us to really stock pile as many picks as possible. I believe there will be a player released that we'll pick up, so there will be no need to trade picks away.

Our history of trading picks for players hasn't been very good. I have no problem developing our own draft talent. Taylor and Thomas are perfect examples the love you feel when you have your own homegrown talent.

Really!?!

Fairly big prediction for someone who is just starting his junior year. After two years of college you can already predict this guy will not only be a Hall-of-Famer but also "one of the top five cornerbacks of all time".

So who do you take off the following list of 11?

Mel Blount
Mike Haynes
Willie Brown
Dick "Night Train" Lane
Herb Adderley
Deion Sanders
Champ Bailey
Darrell Green
Eric Allen
Ronnie Lott
Rod Woodson

i'd take him but wouldn't give too much. he's young but always hurt. but he is amazing on the field and is definitely a pro bowl caliber player. wouldn't go higher than a 3rd.

we should really go after lito. we could give PHI a 3 or a 4 because he's injury prone.

If they were going to settle for that....he would have been traded already.

Yes the Eagles have 3 starting caliber corners.....but has anyone bothered to look at what they have after that?

Kyle Arrington, Therian Fontenot, Nick Graham, Joselio Hanson.

While they appear ready to trad Lito if they get good value.....it's not like they have anyone great to take his spot. They would be 1 injury away from having Joselio Hanson starting at CB!

I fully expect him to play in Philly this year.
