Typical callers on 790am solutions for the coaching situation.

Head Coach: Mike Shula
OC: Don Strock
DC: AJ Duehy
Special Teams: Jim Jenson
OLine Coach: Dwight Stevenson
WR Coach: OJ McDuffy
RB Coach: Mercury Morris
GM: Don Shula

It is so stupid it is humorous.

I think it is silly, but when you have such a rich history and then the last 10 years of nothing, you're going to naturally want to go back to the glory days.

I don't blame people for hoping or wishing. It's not sensible, but it goes to show how desperate we are right now.

What this team needs is a plan that will help rebuild this team to be first a contender in the AFC East, and then go from there.

All I can say is, Wayne Huizenga is turning our Dolphins into a train wreck. He needs to sell the team. The candidates we have for our next head coach are a complete joke. Some search we conducted. We fly all over the United States and all we can come up with are has-beens like Gailey and Mora or a former NFL Offensive Coordinator and College Head Coach failure in Mike Shula who has been brought in just because of his last name. Our coaching search is more like a freakin circus act. A group of big wigs who know nothing about football, flying around the country making it look like they are turning over every stone to find our next coach.

Well, last time the Dolphins searched for a HC they got Nick Saban who had been on most everybody's wish list. And you know how that turned out. By the way, the interviewed nearly all the so-called "hot" coordinators. And the fact that they have taken this long indicates they are not making their decision in knee-jerk fashion.

Mora is way too young to be a has been.

I understand the idea of Shula. His recommendation probably came on the basis that he would be committed and dedicated to the organization. That's something we need. He can win games as a coach.

I don't think it's a circus act. I don't agree with everything Wayne has done, especially the patronizing comments, "If you have something to suggest, please do." That was silly.

Just about as silly as many of the posts on FinHeaven, but hey, they're entitled to their opinion.

That is exactly right. However you are old enought to remember Shulas last years and how a lot of people were rabid to get rid of him. The same people that are attached to the past would blame WH and company when it failed.
