I haven't witnessed a rookie camp so this may not be an issue. But this will likely be the only chance for some of these guys.
Because the Dolphins did not draft any dbs, and only signed one cb and brought in one tryout to date It will be interesting to see how the field a defensive unit. One of the Dolphin papers talked about the lack of quality wrs for Henne to throw to but I like the wrs. But it looks like the will have imaginary safeties, and Babers Lane, and Billingsly will be very busy this weekend.
Now do I believe this? No. What this means is there a number of tryout dudes coming in that we don't know about. Be curious about how to find out about them.

its not like they field whole squads in these minicamps and play 11-on-11... its all walk throughs and learning plays, learning terminology, etc... they can put coaches in spots where a CB would be... this is more a learning camp than a playing football camp

we signed a few rookie corners anyway but yeah they aren't playing a football game out there

I wasn't aware if there was a scrimage situation or not. I have never watched their rookie camp. And I realize they are not in pads and it is a teaching camp. I do understand that. I just thought there would be situations where the quarterbacks would throw to wrs who were covered by dbs. I do understand the basic structure of the mini camp (I played football myself).

I understand. The 11 on 11 I was unaware of, but I understand that all the rest occurs.

forget about Scorpio Babers?

But you'll also have the new FA's come to this as well, so it'll be more than just the rookies..New FA's have to get on page too. Well at least in the past that's how it generally went.. only the vet's of the team had this off.

No new FAs will be participating. It is purely a rookie camp. And the number of players at each position is irrelevant. It just means Coach Bowles will be focusing on these three guys. Should be a really helpful weekend for Babers, Lane and Billingsley.

Go to Armando's blog at the Herald. They are trying out 15 guys. Some corners and safties in this group

I meant new FAs as in veterans. Its common to have a bunch of tryout players.
