Look at post #9, the posters name. How is that even possible? Who switches who their favorite team is? Ive been a fin since birth, and could never ever stop being a fan. Im disgusted. They think were looking past them? haha We know exactly what we have to do.
 
The Jaguars have fans? Their stadium Sunday afternoon says otherwise.
 
Very sad situation going on in Jax, hopefully Dolfans show up in full force to help out those lagging ticket sales
 
Man it would be pathetic if we couldn't beat a team with no fans... lets go and show them what a real team is made of
 
Maybe that guy lives in Jacksonville and once the Jags were created, he decided he wanted to root for his home team.

Nah, his join date was in '05 - probably jumped ship when Bates came in as temp. Seriously though, the Jags were established in what? '95? Who the hell leaves the Fins for a lame *ss expansion team that's never made it past round 1 of the postseason?

That may be when he joined that forum, but that doesn't neccessarily mean that was when he became a Jag fan.

But if he did become a Jag fan well after they were created, then yeah that's odd.

Yeah but that's when he joined the forum, so that's when he chose his username. His "4mer" fandom came before his sign up. Besides, what would be his reasoning for joining a Jags forum before he was a Jags fan?

Exactly, we just don't know when he switched. It could've been in 1995, it could've been the day before he signed up on the forum.

If it was in 1995 and the guy is a longtime Jacksonville resident, I don't find it odd. Some people have a stronger attachment to their town than their favorite football team and would want to root for his home team.

Other than that, I do find it odd that someone would switch teams.
 
Ah okay my bad - we are in complete agreement - I thought you were saying we don't know when he left the Fins as in "it could have been after '05" and I was very confused, lol :crazy:

My comment about when Bates came in was just a hypothesis based on both Fin and Jag records if he were a fair weather fan. Jacksonville-native possible too I guess, but why be so down on the Fins?

Good point, that definately points toward a fair whether change.
