Looks like Jets offense is very ordinary. Stop the run and everthing else falls in place.
On defense ,they're awesome, no doubt about it. They get Pace back too. One good thing though, we have played this defense twice and have a lot of film on them. Regardless of how good they may be, they'll never top the Ravens team we faced last year. No Ray Lewis, Hgata, Ed Reed, Suggs who are all upgrades over their personnel. Plus we have the Oline to pound the rock and make the blitzes ineffective. Jake Grove and Donald Thomas are huge upgrades.

Sounds like our board the last couple of weeks just with different names.

It will be an excellent gauge of where our team is at and a win will propel us right back into the thick of things. I think we should be able to run on them (not to the tune of 250 yards), but to me the key is overcoming their hostile pass rush. It has the potential to force game-changing fumbles and INTS, especially with Henne back there. He's got to be smart, protect the football, and make good decisions. They need to have a really good plan in place to counter that pass rush.

The offense is pedestrian and we should be able to contain it as long as we're not playing from behind.

Stop Washington and Jones and then cam wake can take care of the rookie. And our DB's which came to life yesterday.

Lets get loud!!!!!

Every MB has their irrational fans, I have been on here all week and have seen a bunch as well. The bench Sanchez for Clemens was pretty comical and was bound to happen after a game like he had yesterday, thankfully our mods acted quickly and closed them down. As for the rest of them..

We don't have any WRs outside of Cotchery, we all know that heading into the season and none of them have done anything to disprove it.

I'm not sure what is so funny about threads about some of our guys that got injured yesterday but anyway.

Thomas Jones is not cutting it, he looks like he is either disinterested or has lost about 5 steps. We need to get Shonne Green more involved if only he can stay healthy.

Gholston is a bust as of right now, there are no two ways around it. To be honest as a TGG regular I find the threads stating improvement from him because he made a tackle or took on two blockers to be more annoying. The guy just looks lost out there and has no football instinct at all. Thankfully we get pace back this week and Gholston can go back to a situational player. Look out Chad Henne.

Sounds just like our board after a loss...

Btw, Revis, I love your avatar.

Agree, every teams boards has their dumb threads, this one included. We'll see how things shake out next Monday, for now I'm impressed with the way the Jets have played so far with a Rookie leading the offense. They will have their bumps in the road just like we have had. As for the injury threads , if for informational I see no problem, if it's for gloating and such then thats shows no class.

Stop the run and make the young QB beat us. I assume that will be thier plan for us also. This game will be a good measuring stick for Henne, much moreso than the Bills game.

Our offensive line must play their best game of the year, the jets are going to blitz the **** out of us. If we can find a way to score some points, we might actually win.

Ya... fans are usually a bit more negative after a loss. Welcome to NFL message boards. That said, Jets fans have pretty much been down on Thomas Jones, Gholston and the receivers outside of Cotchery all season. Every team has its weaknesses somewhere, obviously those weaknesses are likely magnified in a loss. God forbid the fans actually discuss them. This is kind of a pointless thread, and pretty hypocritical. I could go over to your main board a cherry pick a few gems as well but I won't because it's a waste of time.

I agree. I remember a couple of plays yesterday where the Bills were showing an obvious blitz, Henne realized it and audibled, yet still the rush got to him and he could not get the ball away.

Both our O-line and Henne need to prepare for a tough pass rush. Sure, the run game will help, but we need to have an effective pass to threaten them.

I don't know how the coaches train for this, but maybe they can run blitzes against Henne and the line while sometimes telling a lineman to let a rusher get throw to give Henne the experience of have straight pressure and learning to get rid of the ball quickly.

You act like this kind of stuff doesnt get posted on every board.

The Jets offense is ordinary. That should come as a surprise to nobody. They have a rookie QB and need another WR. There running game is good but there O-Line has not played well so far but its early.

Yeah our offense played like crap against the Saints, our defense though shut them down and kept us in the game. After playing all experienced, savvy veteran QBs our defense has to be hungry to play a inexperienced QB.

We get back Calvin Pace finally, should help improve our run defense as most of the yards are on Gholston it seems like, his pass rushing is better but run defense isn't very good.

Lito Sheppard should be healthy enough to play this week, baring set backs. So should nickel back Donald Strickland.

Our offense isn't very good, teams stack the box and when Sanchez made horrible decisions yesterday. He needs to get back to being cautious with the ball, I think he learns from his mistakes and does effective this week.

The run game was doing pretty good yesterday, but our OC kept getting away from it. I would like Shonn Greene to get carries if healthy, he looked good yesterday. He hits the hole hard and aggressive. TJ started running hard after Greene got some carries, hopefully he runs hard this week.

Our defense will try and make Chad Henne beat them, make him make mistakes. They'll plan to take out the run game, make it 3rd and long, because when its 3rd and long against Rex Ryan's defense, that is when bad things happen.

And don't talk about the Jets not having the personell, I think it was determined that Rex was more to the ravens success defensively than people gave him credit for. Look at what the Ravens are doing right now, they are struggling vs the pass.

They have their guys and we have ours, we have studs at every level too. We got a David Harris who is playing outstanding right now. Bart Scott has been outstanding, we may have the best pair of ILB in the NFL.
Darrelle Revis is shut down and a better player than the Ravens had at CB, he can take a #1 out of the game completely, and also can tackle.
Kris Jenkins is a beast in the inside. Shaun Ellis is a very good player. Bryan Thomas has been good so far. And Calvin Pace is a beast and is back this week.

We got a very talented defense, and a coach that knows how to use guys to their strengths and get the best out of his guys. Rex is the real deal when it comes to defense, I think that is pretty clear now. He is the mad scientist.

Should be a low scoring game between our teams Monday night.
