They won a game last year trailing by more than 14 at halftime.
I believe that stat is for away games only.
LMAO. Jets signed Jay ****ing Cutler. LOLOLOL
What a desperate organization you guys have beco. . . . .
What?! Wait, what do you mean . . . ?
Aw . Never mind.
They stink. They aren't surprising anyone. If they win 4 games I'd be shocked. Even if the Defense is good, it doesn't matter. The offense is awful, the D will be on the field all game long and will wear down late in the game consistently.
It's clear what the Jets are doing. They're gutting the team and starting over. If Hack is good then great. But I think we all know he isn't the answer. Terrible pick. Oh well. Hopefully next years draft class is as good as people are predicting it to be and the Jets finally draft the real deal at QB. Then all is well.
But the 2017 Jets are going to be hard to watch on Offense. You'll all have fun mocking the likes of Hack and McCown this year.
I'm not sold on Bowles as a bad coach though. I don't think he had much to work with last year and definitely nothing to work with this year. JMO.
Without Marshall, Decker, and Enunwa, how are they going to score points?
Although I do like some of their other younger receivers.
Was it really going to matter who they had at receiver when the QB options are McCown, Petty, and Hack?
Even a little bit yes. Now? **** no.
The Jets aren't going to score a lot of points. They aren't going to win a lot of games.
They're going to have a very good draft pick and flush some turds out of management and coaching positions. And then they're probably going to be a better football team.
Fortunately for us, better than dreadful could still be pretty bad.
The Jets could be the second team to go 0-16.
At least they're tanking the right way.
Miami just skated buy hoping for luck. **** it, go lose for real to get a chance at a good qb, even though next years class isn't as great as they say IMO.
Bowles would make a good defensive coordinator for us next season, I think.
I'd love to have him and Kacy Rodgers back.
bump cause the Jest are playing the Bills today
That play is awesome. That's a fumble!
The Jets don't have much talent and Todd Bowles is not a good head coach.
Jets/Giants: 15 points
Yankees: 16 runs
Not so fast...
... maybe the Jets will decide to keep the turds floating on the bowl!
The Jets played a great game. But they are a terrible team. A win always feels good but it's one of the few we'll have this season. The Dolphins are clearly better. It was a combination of you guys playing poorly and us playing really well.
It never seems to matter how good or bad each team is during our division matchups. It sucks to lose a game like this. It is these type of losses that always come back to haunt us when we're trying to clinch one of those wild card spots.
Congrats on the win! I don't think the Jets are as bad as everyone thinks they are. Call me crazy, but I think they can win 4 to 6 games.
It is what it is. Phins looked like a mound of horse ****. Congrats to the Jets.
Well, 3-2, surely don't look like tanking to me.
The Jets are overachieving, which I am perfectly fine with. They are taking themselves out of contention for a top draft choice while being trapped with a dead end coaching staff, a dead end GM, and Christian Hackenberg as their QB of the future.
Exactly, their fans may be happy now (I don't know, I haven't been on a Jets messageboard), but that would be a very short-sighted perspective. The worst possible thing that can happen to them would be to finish with 7 to 9 wins in a year when they were supposed to be tanking.
When the Jets beat Cleveland, they were themselves pounding the nails into their eventual coffin. Try being a successful NFL franchise these days without a franchise QB. And when your QB for the future is Hackenberg, the future is mighty dim.
Jets schedule the rest of the year:
vs. Pats - L
at Dolphins - Toss Up
vs. Falcons - L
vs. Bills - L
at Tampa Bay - L
vs. Panthers - L
vs. Chiefs - L
at Broncos - L
at Saints - L
vs. Chargers - Toss Up
at Pats - L
5-11 at best. They would still get a good pick.
Dam the Jets got robbed badly. That was a TD.
We got robbed. It's a TD. Who knows if we would have won or not though. Of course that call goes the Patriots way...
Dam. Met Life is emptier than Hard Rock Stadium.
I think the Jets bring the Bills back to earth tonight.
Im getting tired of all the *** kissing the media is giving the bills.
J-E-T- WTF am I saying? Just beat the bills tonight ****wits...
You have to give the Jets credit for being a tough, competitive team this season.
I'm pretty happy with the fact that they're winning a handful of games on the strength of stopgap vets. What that team really needed was a good, solid tank job and a top three pick on the offensive side of the ball.
Couldn't disagree more. The team is building something. They are winning with young players minus the QB position which they are obviously going to address in the off season. They know McCown isn't the future. Top draft picks mean nothing if you can't draft well. This season is showing me as a Jets fan that they may have the right guys in place in Macc and Bowles to build a foundation.
If the Jets love a QB whose a top 5 pick and they have a pick in the low teens they could always try to trade up, or someone could fall to them, or they could have another plan for the QB position in mind that doesn't revolve around Josh Rosen and/or Sam Darnold.
Implied in the tank job would be a total toilet flush from the top down.
