Great Quote:

"And it gives him a chance to disprove what he thinks some draftniks and NFL scouts are saying about him. "That I don't have top-end speed, and I can't play more than one position well, and I'm a high-motor, overachieving guy, but I'm not an athlete,'' he said. "When I lie in bed at night, those are the kinds of things I hear. I hear the negative things. People try to pigeon-hole me as a player, and that kind of drives me.''

Sounds like he is our pick and the safest pick if we stay at number 1. I say pick him but hope we trade out.

If you do keep Taylor, i'd say you draft Chris Long and play Taylor at LB. Bring in a free agent like Flozell Adams to be a LT because you obviously wont have drafted Jake Long. Then go with Beck as your starter next season, bringing in a veteran to compete with him for the job because you wont have taken Ryan.

THatis the kind of player we need one that can motivate the team and motivate him self

Love to see him take over at Matt Roth's position.... I think I'd be happy with Dorsey as well....or trading out all together. I do only see Long as a DE, not as a DT or linebacker

It was interesting to hear in Zach Thomas radio interview after being released who he missed the most was Kevin Carter, how he would occupy two blockers, maybe not make alot of sacks, but just so productive and in helping the defense and Zach since he was usually lined up on the same side as him.

I really felt releasing Carter was one of our biggest mistakes last year. Roth got injured after the 4th game and it was a free for all after that. The past few years we rotated that DL of ours with a lot of high quality depth keeping everyone fresh and injury free and basically stripped that away last year. Its hard to determine if we had kept Carter and even Bowen's Roth and Z Thomas may not have even gotten injured last year. When guys start playing tired and try and over exert themselves when is when injuries occur.

Good point.... Maybe K. Carter & David Bowens had the forsight to know Cameron was gonna be canned in one year? I think for the money...David Bowens was alot more valuable to us than Joey Porter. I wonder how much it irritates Parcells he has Joey Porter signed for so much money/years?
