I have been a VERY long time dolphins fan and lurker on here but I don't post much. You can obviously tell by my old screen name. Anyway I digress...

We ALL have suffered ever since we got our hopes up last when lamar smith trounced the colts...again I digress...

I will keep this short. Quite simply put, I have watched MANY teams "rebuilding" over the years. From the browns, cardinals, detroit, etc BUT I have NEVER and I mean NEVER seen a team that functions or better yet is as dysfunctional as our dolphins in my life. The sheer fundamentals are NOT being adhered to. Everything from tackling to covering to whatever...you name it is not being executed. I have never in a day in my life seen a team, except maybe mississippi valley community grade school, lack as much discipline and the basic fundamentals in my entire life.

I understand as a fan that we are in for the long haul. I understand that we have basically a team, with the except for a few players, that would be 2nd or 3rd string on another team. How can wayne stand for THIS level of garbage? The players of former dolphins teams have every right to be ashamed of what has become of our once proud franchise.

We will get better in time. Man oh man is this hard to watch though.

Ouch man....ouch is all I have to say...

you have NOT seen a team as dysfunctional as the lions. That sir, was a lie. They've been rebuilding for at least 10 years and still working on it apparently.

As for us, we suck. This is what happens when you draft horribly and make bad FA moves for a very long time. You get hit hard after awhile. This is us getting hit.

while watching the game today, i found myself wishing that the fins were just somewhat decent in one aspect of the game. it hurt to see the niners putting up 33 points and the raiders getting into the 20's, two teams that i thought we were better than for sure

I disagree. This is why. I would expect a high school team or a college team to have players who absolutely have no clue where they should be on a play. You DO NOT expect that from guys on an NFL team. Like the announcer said on a slant out to boldin I believe where the corner just dropped back 5 yards and the safety and linebacker did NOTHING but covered dead space and let boldin go wide open to the sideline; players in the nfl should be open by a few inches and not 10 yards.

Half of our guys have ZERO clue where they should be at any given time. It is obvious. What in the heck was our linebacker doing dropping into coverage with no safety help on the first play to boldin. That type of stuff should NOT be happening or the apparent lack of players taking angles to swat away passes or something as fundamental as tackling.

This franchise is at its worst RIGHT NOW in terms of what we field on sunday. Sure we picked up langford and merling and long. They will be good IMO. However the other garbage that is on defense really is an abomination. I would venture to say that we would have a hard time against USC right now.

All jokes aside, this is a pathetic hollow shell of a once proud franchise and the culimination of gross mismanagement. I truly believe a sad lions team with scott mitchell as the quarterback with herman moore would torch this sad pathetic team.

I am a believer in the long run, however the clear miscommunication/lack of skill/smarts on the field is something that I would never believe I would see in an NFL franchise to the extent that I am seeing it. Combine that with the apparent lack of talent and well....you have the current miami dolphins....

I wonder who is on the chopping block this week....might as well cut 3/4 of them and scan the waiver wire...

No matter what happens, I will always be a die hard fan. Just calling it as I see it. It will take time and I believe but DAMN does this team test my patience....I am just asking for fundamentals at this point..

Ha! and to come to think he wanted to give Wanny a contract extension! Thank the Lord Wanny quit!

The Dolphins have been rebuilding ever since Marino left, in my opinion. So we're working on 10 years ourselves...

100% correct. You can see it in the plays.Players are out on the field and don't know what they should be doing. It's so frustrating to watch.

That is the problem. I would never think there would come a day where "veteran" guys can't even produce on the field let alone rookies and 2nd or 3rd year players. They look horrendous! Where is joey porter??

That to me is the most frustrating part of this rebuild. Not the fact that we are losing but HOW we are doing it. I would feel better if at least we got beat and we produced the bare minimum fundamentals. We can't even do that. Some would blame the opening score to boldin on coaching? That plays a role but where was crowder or porter or someone on the field with SOME field smarts calling a time out or at least taking one of the rookies and putting them into position to make some half *** attempt to stop the play.

This is my beef with the team. It isn't the losing. I have been able to stomach that easily now that is has happened for so long. I used to be the biggest prick ever after a loss. Now I just laugh at them because I have become to expect it.

Jeeze guys at least lose with some dignity....

DC you should post more, dude.

I enjoy reading them.....

Thanks. I don't post much because of all the knee jerk reactions around here at times. All I can say again is that for ME it isn't that we aren't winning (we are a really really bad team with serious mismanagement for at least 10 years) but rather HOW we are losing.

Half of our guys look clueless and to me that is completely unacceptable for what is supposed to be NFL caliber players.

would you rather have Al davis be your owner, or would you rather have Matt Millen be your GM????? they only did the Millen man march out of Ford Field!!!! I will take the The Big Tuna anyday of the week!!!!
