With the numbers we are potentially hearing Albert could be signing for, would we have been better off keeping Jake Long all along?
Honest question.

long was done when the morono decided to play him in an exhibition game and got him hurt for no reason...not saying that couldn't have happened in the regular season but it didn't...

Long is done as a LT.

Thought he took less money and chose to pay more in taxes to join the Rams.

Well his salary just got cut in half because he finished on IR again. The Rams had an injury clause in the contract.

What is the money you guys are hearing for Albert; I haven't heard anything. Hopefully, Albert is healthier; that's why he's better than Long.

Uninjured long is a far better player. Sadly the injury record ia a big conern.... albert has one as well though

Long's injury history dwarfs Albert's. How good you are is pretty useless if you don't take the field and Long misses too many games to sink that kind of money into him.

Even more important than the injuries, Long simply didn't want to be here. Maybe now we know why. But the fact is that he's Long gone (sorry) and we need some new guys.

So I'm STILL for drafting our new OL and OK with bringing McKinnie back and having him and Pouncey teach the rooks. If we replace McKinney with Albert or Monroe, fine. But if we don't, fine with bringing McKinney back for one more year to break in the rooks.

If Albert cost 11 million I am ok with your plan B, take a LT high in the draft resign McKinney for 3-4 million per and coach em up......

Healthy, it's a no brainer with Long, but he is pretty much done at worst, an injury waiting to happen each year at best. Albert might not be as good as a healthy Long in the running game, but he is as good or maybe better pass blocking.
