Gase had a good game plan. Our players failed. Gase will bring us Superbowls in a few years. I'm expecting to make a far run into the playoffs next year. Go fins

That's a mighty big leap of faith. Dude coached one game that we lost, and he is Super Bowl bound??????? Seattle has a very good D but their Offense was shown to need a bit of work and just how big a part Lynch played in it. Seattle is a good team but definately not what they were a year or two ago. Don't rush to judgement just yet my friend.

That defense is still top 5 in the league and Gase drew up a gameplan that should have put 23 points up on them if not for failures by various players. I think our future is bright. Until i see otherwise, like a loss to an inferior team.

The bright side this past Sunday certainly was the defense. I would not have expected that. I'm not calling Russell Wilson an elite QB just yet but he's the kind of QB that gave our defense troubles in the past. Heck, Geno Smith had a perfect passer rating against us not so long ago. I was really surprised by that defensive performance. Of course, they reverted back to being the usual Dolphins defense by allowing the game winning TD against a QB on a bad ankle but still, I hope they can play like that for 16 games.

It was a hell of a coaching job on that side of the ball and if that's a sign of things to come, I'll gladly take it.

I hope you all realize a player under performing is also due to coaching.

The game plan was not good offensively. He played into Seattle's strengths. The 3rd down playcalling sucked.

Stills dropping that ball, Frank's missing a chip shot FG. Wake penalty on 3rd and long had nothing to do with coaching.

Seattle is a Top 5 defense and we had nice drives. Next Question

Perhaps. The Stills drop, the blocked FG, and the missed chance on 4th and 1 weren't coaches faults though. Say what you will about a QB sneak on that 4th and 1, the team should be able to get a ****ing yard when they really need it.

He did play into Seattle's strengths, and he does not know his players yet. He just learned that Stills incapable of blocking for a wide receiver screen. The offense is going to struggle initially.

Actually, the main culprit is the new offense. There is a reason almost every expert says it takes eight games. The players still underperformed significantly even with a new offense handicap. I agree that coaching is involved, but you need to be more precise. Do you mean game preparation, teaching skills, communication of where each player fits, game strategy and planning, or play calling?

I agree, but it when not one WR sits down in a dead spot in the zone, that's not a new system.

Lol Miami had nice drives? Only nice drive was the TD drive. The other red zone drives were set up by turnovers.

What I like so far from this team is that it seems like players are doing a better job of communicating and understanding what's going on schematically and we look more physical, and more fundamentally sound. I think that is a good first step on the road to an improved football team.

I also like the way he handled the Ajayi situation. He made it clear that a guy was doing stuff that was unacceptable and benched him for a game -- days ahead of time, no uncertainty there -- and then on Monday told him "Okay, you got a fresh start, lets move on."

Joe Philbin, and this was one problem with Joe that was evident from day one, would put guys in his doghouse for minor infractions and they could never get out. We saw that with Rishard Matthews, for instance.

I agree, they did leave some easy points on the field, and Miami should have left with a W. It's not on Gase.

So he shouldn't rush to judgement but isn't that what you are doing after just one game? Maybe the Seattle offense is still top notch and our D made them perform poorly. Russell Wilson is certainly not declining and our D did force some pretty nice turnovers. Not a bad outing for this unit IMO considering they are a new unit with 6 new starters in a brand new scheme on the loudest field in the NFL.

I agree the offense needs work but that's to be expected as well. Especially when you're without a guy like Parker (and a TE and a #2 RB) going against a top 5 defense. Play calling could have been better and should be going forward.

I won't predict Super Bowls just yet but I'll give it a half season and see what our potential is going to be. It's not hard to imagine it progressing.
