It hurts to acknowledge this but I think we can all see the Dolphins aren’t getting into the playoffs. Even if they managed to sneak in there is no way the current team can compete with the upper level teams. :(

I think it’s time to look to the future and start playing the young guys to give them a shot at becoming better players for next year.

It might also be a good idea to look at trading some veterans for picks or young players. Maybe Seau and Fiedler could be on the block? I’m sure a contender could use the fire Seau brings to each game. It’s a shame he is stuck on this great D when the O is beyond horrible. :(

The final thing that the Dolphins should look at is firing Wanny. Let Trestman take over and find a new coach in the offseason. This would make the poor season look like Wanny’s fault and may keep FA’s from avoiding the Dolphins next year.

I hate to say “rebuilding†but trying to squeeze wins out each week to save Wanny’s job isn’t going to help the franchise in the future.

What do you think?

I think that firing Dave right now would be worth 3 or 4 wins this season.
No team is going to give the Dolphins squat for Jay or Seau. This team is now officially ruined. Just like Wanny did in Chicago. Thanks Wanny. Jerk.

This team isn't ruined. I agree we will won't be very good this year, but in this time of NFL and the salary cap and FA, a team can go from nothing to Super Bowl champs in one offseason. The sad thing about this offense we have right now is that we have some very good playmakers, but without an OL, they have no chance to shine. Get this team an OL in the Offseason and maybe a RB(If Gordon doesn't eventually pan out) and get a new coach(an offensive-minded coach) and we could be very good next season. That is if we don't take to many salary cap hits on Defense.

I think teams might give up late round draft picks for some vets but I imagine the cap hit would outweigh the trades value.

I guess it just makes me sad to think how hard Seau is playing for his ring only to have Wanny crush any chance of him winning one.
