Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets have shown interest in Stanford QB Trent Edwards. The team, however, is not expected to select a quarterback in the NFL Draft.
 
Yeah umm, Edwards is projected to be a 1st day pick. They want to draft another QB in the 1st day? Okay, go ahead. Sounds like the late 80's/early 90's all over again for the Jets. :shakeno:
 
The video is funny but I think the Jet fans are laughing at our draft picks from last year and I hate to admit it ...I widh we had D'Brick and Mangold
on our team, I will even go one step furthur and say I would rather have Mangold than Jason Allen.

Thing is, we have had a few questionable Drafts lately...no doubt, but the Jets have lead the league in questionable drafts. It has gotten to the points where people look farward to seeing who the Jets Pick, and the reaction of the Jets fans.

They did have a good draft last year though.....after the year before drafting a Kicker as their #1 pick.
 
Maybe we draft Kalil in the second round....which could end up being better than taking a guy like Mangold in the first? I wonder what Zach Thomas thinks of Mangold after playing two games against him last year?...I think he always thought Kevin Mawae was the best he had to face each year...
 
screw the jets two things i hate the most nick satan and the jets!......nicky and the jets can burn in hell! edwards stinks stanton beck kolb will be better then him.
 
Jets just drafted Clemmens last year. They are not drafting another QB. Besides, who cares what the Jets do, they will all be on their backs when they face our defense.

Edwards does not stink, he played on a very untalented team, he does have major injury concerns though.
 
No matter who the QB we take is, there are going to be questions....

Brady: Has shown to have accuracy problems, and has lost against top competition

Edwards: Even though he was one of the most recruited highschool QBs, he has looked as good as he should, and has had injury problems starting his freshman year, has taken a lot of shots.

Stanton: Has also taken a lot of shots, and has been hot and cold.

Beck: Going to be pretty old as a Rookie, has he reached his peak already? Also has not been tested as much as the others.

Kolb: Product of a Spread Offense? How well and fast can he learn a new offense.

I'm afraid those days are long gone. Mangini and Tannenbaum are a good combination.
