After a tough less, lets attempt to look ahead on this short week.

AJ Green is going to be a nightmare, I hope we can figure out a way to stop him, or this can be a long night with the Bengals offense seemingly hitting stride lately.

I am interested to see how the oline does again this week, they were better then expected last week, and will be going against a strong Dline.

Hopefully Patterson and Odrick continue their strong play, they were some of the bright spots from yesterdays game. I mean as a whole the defense played well until the game started to tilt back to the Patriots favor. (except Carroll.... I can't stand this guy).

I still feel this is a winnable game, even after what we saw yesterday. Tannehill needs to be sharp (we say that every week), and aware, and he really really needs to use his feet a little more. Him taking off just a few times would help loosen up the defense, they don't even respect his ability to move around and run because he doesn't do it. And the Bengals are going to Blitz after watching what happened when the patrtiots started blitzing. Tannehill needs to be smart with his throws on the blitz's. He locks onto his target and you can see the DB's already running to undercut the throw. Even on the Blitz he has to look these guys off,the progression is faster but it HAS TO HAPPEN.

And I pray to god that Wallace can figure out what the hell is wrong with him, it's like he has stone hands at times and he is killing some of our drives with his drops.

Hopefully last week woke them up about putting together a full game, staying aggressive, communicating (qb to oline, oline with themselves). This is again another game we can win, and I don't know why after watching yesterday, but I feel like this team is going to come together and come out strong, and I don't know why I feel this way, just kind of do.

That paragraph you wrote about AJ Green says it. Get ready to be pissed off again. They need to get ready for a shoot out because a short week creates problems

The Bengals have a great DL and two very good TE's. This is a match up nightmare. I'm wondering just how empty the stadium will be.

This could be as bad as the "Wax in Jax".

And BTW, AJ Green is the least of our problems.

Looking ahead, we will be 3-5 because Sherman will insist on going shotgun in 4th quarter.....against the leagues best blitz D.

Win and you save the season...win and you can talk playoffs. Lose...wow. 3-5 and season is over outside of trying to see improvements with young players and esp. the QB.

The problem is....many of the young players drafted can't get on the field.

4-4 is saving the season????

look at who is in the wild card hunt right now...denver is 7-1 but i assume before the end they will win their division and kc will end up with the #1 wild card spot...then you have san diego that has 4 wins only because they are in the hardest division in the AFC....they are playing better than we are based on points and we play them head to head....

get over it, we just lost our best WR, we cant stop a blitz to save our life, and tannehill has zero pocket awareness and it gets worse as the game goes on...there is no season to save...and sadly there are 9 teams worse than us this year going into the draft...

we cant even suck the right way...

Absolutely. If you asked me at the start of the year would you be happy to get to 4-4 going into the second half of the year? I would say YES! Between the sked, new parts coming together and a young QB, it was about survival and making a run late.

Do I like how things are going right now? Of course not. There are a lot of issues. However, I also believe in a group rising up and getting the job done in a game. Survive and advance.

what about this season makes you think its going to be anything but more of the same...

I honestly dont think its time to blow up the coaching staff yet but Ireland needs to go which means a new coach will be required...even with not wanting to blow up the staff philbin is reminding me way to much of cam cameron...you do not clap blankly when your qb throws an int...

its sad because think about it, going into the off season we knew we needed help on the line...we did nothing to address it...

why did we get rid of bush? was it because we thought miller could handle the load, or was it because philbin didnt like the leadership council? if it was the ladder it was STUPID and he should be fired just for that, you dont get rid of weapons or leaders because you dont like them...trading is one thing, letting them go for nothing is another...

our line backers still SUCK...

so even if we save the season, what are we realistically going to get from it?

Gonna get spanked if we keep giving up sacks....where's the friggin' protection for a QB that can't scramble?

This game will be frightening. I don't see much hope for this one, but for no reason I continue to hold out hope. Cinci 34 Fins 13.
