assuming we beat the jets and the ravens lose we would play the bengals come playoff time.
in this case we would play a team who is 8-0 at home.....does anyone know if a team who was 8-0 at home during the regular season ever lost their next game at home during the playoffs?

speaking of the game itself id like to focus on the bengals inability to run the ball which is crucial in the playoffs.
they managed a mere 2.2 yards last week (at home) on 37 carries.
i think this favors us well because even tho we have a bad run defense i like our chances against a team who doesn't run the ball well
plus we will be heavy underdogs and really will play so loose with ALL the pressure on the bengals...

and btw the game before the vikings against the steelers they had 2.6 YPC
i think having to rely on our cornerbacks to stop the pass vs us having to focus on stopping the run is gonna favor our defensive schemes...
thoughts?

I do not think the Fins get by this weekend sadly.

i think we will get by this weekend, mainly because i have confidence that joe philbin knows how to get the best out of his players and he will have them ready to play sunday and they will come out strong, and win this one for there coach.

Joe Philbin reminds me of a young Bill Walsh.

SO can i understand u? the jets are 1-6 on the road......we are not losing to the jets at home,so that takes care of that....
now bengals could demolish the ravens if they want the question is do they? having an undefeated record at home i think is worth fighting for do u not?
ok so lets say ravens win.....so?

the chiefs are not gonna play their starters and are TEN point underdogs.now i know theres a chance that the game starts and SD is already eliminated, but fans pay money to watch them play
and im sure they would like to finish 9-7 regardless...so where do u see us not making it passed this weekend?
few weeks ago as i watched the chargers play i said to myself they r gonna win every last game ...period whether kc rests or not...
a SD win is our TICKET to the playoffs...

Hayden Fox sees this post and immediately feels the urge to sprinkle holy water on his monitor and shout "THE POWER OF MIKE COMPELS YOU"

whoever thinks the fins r not going to get by this weekend need to get real.

although we may not have an aaron rodgers or tom brady type qb, or a calvin johnson type wr, whenever u have a great young coach, coaching your team, you will be in every game no matter the difference in talent.

having joe philbin as our coach keeps us in every game, i have not seen a coach as good as him on the fins since shula, and he may even be better than shula one day.

also id like to point out to u guys that the ravens loss to the patriots in their home stadium 41-7 was WORSE than us losing 19-0

yes the buffalo game was HARD for us to swallow but we were still in the game with like 6 min left the ravens were THRASHED at home and picked apart by a team we just defeated.

its just one of those games where we were thinking to far ahead and didn't take care of business but we got so much help afterwards that its ALMOST like we won that game(playoffally)
meaning we won and just need to beat the jets to get in,we beat the jets and we r in,the help thats needed is MORE than we could ask for at this juncture...

I take it you didn't watch the game this past sunday???

:loco:

so u guys mean to tell me u have all this hatred for the head coach who has us almost certainly in the playoffs with 1 more win?
i dont get it.....think about ALL the teams been through he hasnt had a full deck and u guys wanna bash him left n right

lets see u go out and coach a team in disarray

two seperate 3 game winning streaks ........a 3 game playoff winning streak would have us in the super bowl....just think about that.
for whats on his plate he has done a fantastic job, dont blame him solely for the loss against bufallo he wasnt the one giving up 7 sacks the OL was atrocious
and im sure if we plugged in philbin as RB he coulda got us 1 five yard gain

WE BEAT
