Looking Ahead...

If you could travel three years into the future, who would be the Dolphins top five players in 2020?

Of course, we know there will be other draft picks, additions etc., but here's my best guess.

1. Fitzpatrick --- I was ecstatic when Miami drafted him. Thought he had the potential to go top five. I believe he has the talent and work ethic to be the Dolphins best player in the near future.

2. Drake -- We've seen that he can be electric. I think if Drake stays healthy he has a good chance to be a top 10 back in the league.

3. Tannehill -- Finally with the weapons, Tannehill should put up his best years.

4. McMillan -- Could emerge as the leader of the defense.

5. Howard --- Loved how he came on down the stretch for Miami last season.

Honorable mention: Gesicki

1. Fitzpatrick- 2 All PRo's under his belt and consensus top 3 safety in the NFL

2. Howard- 1 All Pro under his belt and with Fitzpatrick we have one of the 5 best secondaries in the NFL.

3. McMillan- Becomes the most underrated LB in the NFL, the London Fletcher of his time.

4. Harris- Didn't become the bust we all thought has 25 sacks in the last 3 years.

5. Trevor Lawrence declares in 2020, wins ROTY, pro bowl, all pro and 1st rookie QB to win a super bowl.

1. Tannehill
2. Fitzpatrick
3. Not Drake (Fins rarely resign good players and RBs only last 4-5 years)
4. Not Parker (He’s gonna be a nice player, Fins won’t resign him and Fin fans gonna be screaming for a WR1).
5. Not any DE currently on their roster now as none will have more than 10 sacks this year or next (gonna spend a high draft pick on a DE within 2 years).
