I flip-flopped on keeping Wallace

I am thinking now on the best path to 2016

a) Philbin is a defacto lame-duck(because he sucks)

b) we rent Wallace for one more year

c) extend Pouncey so we have 2 OT's and C nailed down for 2016

d) extend RT

e) draft for defense

f) get a real coach in 2016

g) fill other holes in 2016 draft/FA

in summation I am tired of 1-year plans and my original wish to cut Wallace was short sighted

Wallace thinks he could be Dez Bryant, and maybe he could be. IMO, you don't improve by getting rid of good players, you deal with them.

Wallace does not belong in the conversation with Dez Bryant. Nowhere near the all around talent. Agree, however, that we need to keep Wallace at least one more year. He if shapes up and keeps working, maybe longer. He starts quitting like the baby he was at year end, you move on. As far as the OP, we need D...but we better address the O-line with at least one starter in FA and a high draft pick to help the red zone O (big WR or TE). Otherwise we need a big time help in the middle of the D (mike, DT's) and at one or two guys in the secondary.

You absolutely get rid of Wallace. You don't keep a player no mater what talent, that quits on your team...period

You bring him back and you're sending a message to other players, cry and quit and there will be no consequences.

You don't build a winner by allowing a Wallace and his selfish/quitter attitude

Going to be that guy who goes against the grain.

Hope like heck that Joe Philbin's best quality is getting the right personnel to coach the team, because it's clearly not his greatest strength.

Continue to stock the team with good talent.

Continue with the plan because the only thing that strongly correlates to sucking consistently over a long stretch of time is constantly rebuilding the team under new management.

Even lame coaches go win superbowls with the right talent, so whatever.

just realized, it would be a good test of RT's leadership position/mettle, sadly we know Philbin can't deal

Why did you flip flop? And why rent him for one year if you are tired of one year plans?

sometimes you do short-term things with a longer term goal in mind(google stop-gap)

we can't fill every hole in one year so why add new holes? that is why I flip-flopped
