NFL reports he's on the list along with Baby Schotty and likely to be interviewed for Malarkey's OC job in Atlanta

I
f that's the case, I still would prefer him to Fisher and most others as our HC. He's definitely overqualified for the OC and unlike Fisher who obviously doesn't want us in the best of all worlds, Brian would be delighted to get this job!

Mr Ross, give Fisher a 12midnight deadline tonight before rescinding the offer. Do not let him jerk us around through the weekend as he maneuvers for Caldwell's job.. and then, now that the schneid is apparently over, stay ahead of the curve and get right on the horn with Brian Billick!!!

Awesome, get him the **** off of TV...

Another reason why ATL will go under .500 next year.

I believe Billick and Mike Smith are brothers in-law.

I would like to know what Billick has done to get himself dang near blacklisted from the NFL. There has to be something to it considering all these coaching openings and not one team has interviewed him.

This whole process just goes to show you that despite all his billions, Steve Ross is clueless when it comes down to how to run a franchise and how not to let your emotion get in the way of making a sound business decision. Yeah billick inadvertently cost you 40 million but if hired and successful he could potentially make you much much more.

How does his billions compare to what you've made with your shrewd business decisions. Again, he met the man and Billick came off as someone he would not want working for him so why does he need to interview him again?

Interview Brian Billick and you'll force Jeff Fisher to commit sooner rather later.

FWIW: I believe at the end of the day Fisher would prefer the Colts due QB and owner stability, the GM is the unknown

aside from not having a good offense since 1998 despite being labeled an offensive genius?

Brian Billick is no better than Jeff Fisher.

I dunno about that. He's definitely not worse! And he'd appreciate the job and be happy to work with whomever in the front office. Beyond that he broke offensive records with MN as their OC so he understands how to cobble together an air first, not run first offense. He then took what the Ravens and Ozzie Newsome gave him, adjusted to defensive emphasis and actually managed to win a super bowl with Trent Dilfer, not just come very close with Air McNair. Also unlike Fisher's 6 winning seasons out of 16+, Billick has had 5 out of 9 winning seasons.

So again, he sure aint' any worse than the mediocre princess who's jerking everyone around.

1. Because it was an interview for a book and based on the sound of it there was some confusion as to who was kidding. I don't get into specifics because Armando at the herald does it just fine.
2. Allowing himself to be played and fooled by Jeff Fisher... A man who clearly isn't sold on this franchise AND who hasn't won a damn thing outside of reaching one super bowl a decade ago.

This is two years in a row our franchise has been made to look like idiots because of your beloved Mr. Ross. If he fails to land Fisher then it's two years in a row of goofy, awkward, and hastily made press conferences with a coach he CLEARLY didn't want...and not to mention two years in a row of being national laughingstocks and punchlines.

Again...I'll reiterate.. savvy businessman but thus far an idiotic owner.

he should get a chance but it's not like he was great in Baltimore. He was an offensive guru who had crappy offenses in Baltimore, the defensive coaches, fairly or unfairly, got the bulk of the credit for the SB and whatever other success they had(just one other playoff win).

I like the deadline. This makes us look like we're getting jerked around. The tail does not wag the dog, sign or take a hike. This feud with Billick is really stupid. He would come in here and do a great job.
