Defensive tackle Manny Wright, who left the Dolphins before last season and reportedly battled depression, intends to report to the team's offseason program that starts next month, his father, Terence, said Monday. ''He's in good spirits. [The team] has reached out to him.'' . . . Free agent defensive tackle Keith Traylor has decided to play another season and has spoken to the Dolphins.

That's some great news to wake up to in the morning :D Thanks for the post!

Well Traylor coming back would be a nice 1 year bad aid. Hopefully Evans and the Wright's can show some worthwhile progression and some worth in general next season.

Saban and his huge ego and ability to be a complete ******* probably drove Wright very far in the wrong direction. I'm not counting on him for anything but I think it would be great to see him make a commitment to football because he has the potential.

Traylor coming back would also be huge. (no pun intended.)

Great, Manny has potential through the roof. I really want to see Fred Evans in at nose this year to spot Traylor because we won't have Zgonina anymore and I want to see what the guy can do. If we can get production from Evans and Manny we could have our interior D-line sorted for the next few years although realistically it would be great to have even one of them become starting quality.

Well it looks like our defense will be intact next year. That's great news.

If we re-sign Traylor, we will probably lose Holiday via FA which may be the right move financially for us because I think we should use that money to go after Donte' Stallworth or Dielman/Steinbach. We still have Wilkinson on contract for one more year and with Zgonina out of the way, this is the perfect time to give our younger d-linemen (Evans, Vickerson, M. Wright, & R. Wright) more quality playing time to develop into our starters. These guys will get a lot of quality playing time in rotation with Wilkinson and Traylor.

Thank you for the update. It would be great if Manny played, and he left his childish days behind. Keith is a monster in the trenches, and he is a superbol caliber player, who brings experience, and a wealth of knowledge to the locker room.

This is very true. This is the most likely scenario. It would be great to give more playing time to our young players.

Great News about Traylor...Now, NT is a position we can hold off of for a another year. Plus, it gives us an oppurtunity to check Evans abilities and Manny's commiment.

This does make Wilkinson expendable. If we want to go in rebuild mode, this would be the move.

You saying the DL needs Stitches?

Great news Crypt, thanks.

I hope Manny is able to make things Wright. If not, he'll have a tractor to lean on or answer to.

Could we trade Big Daddy Wilkinson? I know ther are a lot of teams desperate for DT, and from what I have been reading Branch is the only sure thing in the draft for that kind of tackle. Maybe we could get a late round draft pick.

Nah, wait until we draft another NT to cut ties with Wilkinson. His contract isnt bad "this" year. Next season his contract skyrockets so then it is a no brainer.

If we dont plan on drafting a NT this year, I would keep Big Daddy so that we can have 2 vets that can play the NT position should one get hurt. Manny and Evans may be needed to fill in for Holiday as well. Although I think Carter will move inside this year...if he is not cut.

I don't think it makes him expendable. He is in the final year of his contract anyway and releasing him will cost us $2 million. His contract expires in 2008. He is more useful to us on the roster providing some veteran depth and leadership in the last year of his contract; than playing for some other team in the AFC East while we are still paying him. Let him finish the last year of his contract with us would be the best way to go.
