At least that's what his mission will be....Dwyane Wade has saved shaq many times this season, so its up to the big aristotle to put this team on his back, since D-Wade may not be able to go and if he can go, he will probably not be 100 percent.....

Wade, who left Thursday's Eastern Conference finals game with a strained rib muscle, could not practice Friday, and his status for tonight's Game 6 in Detroit is in doubt. The Heat leads the best-of-7 series 3-2.

Privately, players were less confident. Wade did not speak with reporters, and coach Stan Van Gundy gave no definitive word about his availability. But Wade told teammates he felt no better than he had the previous night.

Strained rib muscles can cause sharp pains from even small movements like laughing, said Dr. Kevin Kessler, a Fort Lauderdale sports medicine specialist.

O'Neal, who is playing with a bruised right thigh, did not sound worried Friday.

"If Dwyane plays or doesn't play, we're still going to Shaq you to death," O'Neal promised.

One of those reporters on ESPN offered the suggestion that they should bench both of em for game 6. Its really not that bad of an idea. Shaq hasnt been playing well at all and you know Wade is still going to try and throw his body around, risking a more serious injury. I wouldnt give the Heat much of a chance if Wade was out.

I thought Shaq played very well in Game 5.

But it's going to be tough winning without Wade. It's one thing to lose him later in a game. But it's another thing when Detroit's able to prepare for a Wade-less Heat.

Shaq can have his way with Ben Wallace...he just needs to stay out of foul trouble (which isn't easy in this series)

God...this game just about settles it...Ben Wallace is worthless....at least against a good offensive center....

The guy blocks one shot against SHAQ and goes nuts...SHAQ then dunks on his face three times in a row....

My god...if SHAQ were 100%...he would be averaging 40 points a game against him.....

And nobody come up with the SIZE differential thing please.....Hakeem Olajuwon used to play SHAQ really good one on one.....to the point that SHAQ called him...."My match." Hakeem was like 6-10 ..260.

Ben Wallace is overrated.

I turned off tonight's Pistons-Heat game after Detroit went up by about 20....talk about the Heat mailing this one in....hope Wade can go on Monday or they are done.

Agreed. Ben Wallace is a solid player, not spectacular.

I picked the Pistons in 6 for the series.Having said that I don't think it's too likely the Heat will lose game 7 at home.Detriot blew this series in game 3 at home after winning one in Miami (credit to the Heat).Btw do any of you guys know just how bad Wade is hurt? I'm sure it would take an act of God for Wade not to play.

Look at my "WTF was the medical staff thinking?" thread....for your answer.

I am still upset at what transpired.
