The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson expects the Dolphins to release Julius Thomas in the offseason.
It's pretty much a lock. Thomas is under contract at a $6.5 million salary in 2018, the final year of his deal, but the Dolphins can clear all of that and and a $100K workout bonus off the books by cutting the tight end. His first year in Miami after a spring trade has mostly been a disappointment. Thomas is only 29, but he has the body of a 39-year-old who is going on 49. There isn't much left.
No big news here but man have we been lacking a real TE for so long. Last time we had a real pro bowl TE was Keith Jackson?
Ozzy rules!!
