Somehow I think Cameron Has found his version of LT in both Lorenzo Booker and Ronnie Brown. Because if you add the skill sets of both (on paper anyway) they could potentially be an LT type threat.

RB - Bruiser with speed, good hands: I think his field vision is improving and having an improved offensive line and fullback will create better lanes for him to run. He came into minicamp a little heavy and Cam got on him about it. I predict he starts the season in great shape and even a little lighter than last season at 230.

Booker - change of pace back, speed/elusiveness and a big chip on his shoulder. Potential to be a homerun threat.

ronnie brown + lorenzo booker = fred taylor + maurice jones drew

I haven't watched much of Fred Taylor, surprisingly, but I have always thought of him as a more of a guy who uses his quickness to gain yards, not bruising through guys like Ronnie? I'm probably way off, it's just something I thought.

you could be right... i dont really watch him either but i do know that he has had a injury riddled couple of years and hasnt really reached his potential... but last season when jones drew came along... they both started doing very well together....

...which put the jags 3rd in the nfl in rushing yards & 2nd in rushing td's
while in 2005 (no jones drew) they were 10th in rushing yardage and 7th in rushing td's

some may say that isnt that big of an increase.... but i would definitly take that for the upcoming season

booker is booker

which means we have book daddy squared with marty and lorenzo

Ok, let me see if I got this straight. Booker, who is a college RB who put up slightly better than average numbers in college and has never played a down in the NFL, combined with Ronnie, who is a solid NFL running back who has yet to realize his potential, are in your opinion equal to the best RB in the game today?? Is that what I am to believe?? Who are you, the agent for Booker?? I got an idea, lets run this idea by some of the people over at one of the Charger message boards. Maybe we can work out a trade.
Talk about seeing things through aqua colored glasses. I understand about drinking the coolaid, but I think your coolaid was mixed with a little too much vodka. WOW!!!

yeah...but I don't think it means much if it takes two guys to equal one.

Why ?

Actually, I think it's better because you are not wearing one of them out. The year Ricky and Ronnie were together, they had a great "combined" year. Plus, Booker is a "change of pace" back, so the defense will get a "different" look when he's in instead of Brown.

I really like the possibilities with these 2 backs.

Brown And Booker

you know, i dont want to upset you guys or beat a dead horse, but I go to youtube and watch ricky run and wonder if we will ever have that quality of back ever again. it sure made losing easier to take when ricky was pounding the enemy. NOW LET ME HAVE IT!

Do you mean a running back that had one great year, one good year and one average year? I'm sure we will.

:hmmm::smackhead:escape: Booker hasnt done Jack yet.

I think we have a very good pair of backs. One is very talented and we have added a potentially good change of pace back. I want to see us lining up booker in the slot or at wr...now imagine the match up problems with ginn, chambers, booker, booker, and brown! Heck run all wr's deep and a little screen to brown could go to the house!

Well you are obviously not a dolphin fan because we went decades without that.
