Sure, but the quality of a team can determine the pricetag on a good player. Anyone watch the documentary on the Browns and Bengals last night? Basically it used to be such an unattractive place to play, that they had to offer some serious money to be considered.

Also, people seem to have this illusion that drafting top 5 makes you a super bowl team. Face it, the draft is a lottery where some of the tickets have a bigger winning percentage. Considering dropping a season for a complete bust, that would be a tragedy.

Luckily the coaches and players are a tad smarter than the fans, and won't be dropping the season.

on the other hand did you see miami last year? 4-12 and everyone owants to play for us! Alot of people want to go to loosing teams and turn them around or make a difference

No one respects a 4-12 team come next season, and that really sux. Also you get no primetime games the next season.

alot of players like to go to loosing teams so that they can tun them around

It was just last offseason when many good players said they wanted to play for Miami. M.Muhammad, Edge, S.Alexander to name a few and we were 4-12 last year. In some cases players want to go to a team that has a lot of potential but there have been plenty of good players that have chosen to sign with bad teams. In the end the most contributing factor for most players will be who will pay them the most.

Free agents only care about the money. If a 1-15 team offers $100,000 more than a 15-1 team, guess what......player X is going to the 1-15 team.

Also, the NFL is aware of this "losing on purpose problem" (thanks Kris Brown) and are talking about a "LOTTERY" like the NBA to take away the potential of teams throwing games on purpose.
