Losing our players in FA = Comp pix in 2009 or 2010?

Now that our cupboard is somewhat stocked for the rest of the NFL to pick at during free agency, does that mean we will get comp pix in this years draft or next year's?

it would be next years and considering we only made one signing we might actually get some as long as our castoffs start for other teams

Gibril Wilson was cut, thus doesnt count as a player "gained". Only players signed as UFAs or lost as UFAs are considered when compensatory picks are awarded. Just thought I would clarify that.

That is correct. The only player gained for us so far is Joe Berger. Also, there is no guarantee that he will qualify for the compensatory formula.

What happens this offseason determines compensatory picks for the 2010 draft. What happened last season, determines what picks they will hand out later this month. I can tell you right now that we will be getting NO compensatory picks for this year's draft. Things are looking good right now though for picks in 2010.

yeah it is based off the previous year.. so this years comp picks will be from the 2008 offseason
