18Ryan Tannehill is growing up and the defense has pass rushers to counter opposing passing games. That's a good combination.

Last Week: 23
The two best QBR games of Ryan Tannehill's career have come in his past three games. He faces a Jaguars team in Week 8 that has allowed the most pass yards this season.

17. Miami Dolphins (3-3, LW: 22)
Ryan Tannehill completed his first 14 passes, and 18 of his first 19, against the Bears. It says a lot about the Bears' defense, but it shows again that there's some talent there with Tannehill.

FOX SPORTS

MIAMI DOLPHINS (3-3) HIGH: 12 / LOW: 25
The Dolphins have a much better roster than people realize, but it remains to be seen if their coaching staff can keep up. The offensive line is finally starting to mesh, which has allowed QB Ryan Tannehill to get going as a runner on the read option.

FROM KIRWAN

17. Dolphins (21): A very impressive win on the road against the Bears last week. One more like that and the Dolphins will climb the rankings. Ryan Tannehill is starting to look like the right guy under center for the long haul.

Also note that Peter King had us at #14 i believe in his fine fifteen. He always seem to respect the fins a bit more than other writers.

I hate "power rankings". I don't enjoy reading mere opinions from reporters. Give me the facts to discern and I'll form my own.

This should be a blowout. A three-point victory, while still a win, means we're still playing down to the level of our opponent.

Sorry Langer72, didn't realize you needed to rely on the media's perspective of our team because of being unable to develop such a conclusion on your own.

The Fins vs Chicago looked the best that I've seen the team play in a long while.

Other than Tanny eating two sacks that should have easily been avoided, we looked like a team that's going to be a tough out for anyone.

The Detroit and Bills games are really going to let me into who we are as both those teams have stout defensive lines.

Really no need to attack someone like that. Just because someone reads power rankings doesn't mean they are "unable to develop conclusions of their own." Maybe they just like to see what conclusions other people come up with about their team outside of a fan message board.
Tbh, if you don't pay any attention to power rankings, then this topic clearly isn't for you

Well, he attacked him because the dude gave him a lame thumbs down. Anyhow, I think Power Rankings are fun. Not something to take seriously because as mentioned above, it's just some person's opinion. I love reading sports material, so it's just another sports piece I enjoy.

So I don't have to click on every thread? Or is that my prerogative to do so anyways on a message board and provide my viewpoint regardless?

If not, just make sure you straighten out and clue in the others who post in similar threads with their opposing outlooks concerning different topics.

This must be very painful for WV to read. Get used to it...

Power rankings are always unneeded but I will admit I like seeing them. We all thought Miami would run for 500 yds against Green Bay two weeks ago and that clearly didn't happen. So I'd say I'd hope Miami goes into Jacksonville and wins by 21 points but you never know.

19. Miami Dolphins (No. 23; 3-3): Here’s what really unacceptable — The Bears made Ryan Tannehill look like a combination of Dan Marino and Larry Csonka.

Ryan Tannehill has taken a lot of heat, but you have to hand it to him. He was on point time and again in Chicago, ultimately going 25 of 32 for 277 yards and two touchdowns. He also pulled a Kaepernick, running for nearly 50 yards Sunday ... and he actually won his game. The only complaint is that he still isn't connecting on the deep ball -- once again, no completions of 30-plus yards.

If I remember correctly...he was positive about this team if the O-line came together & Tannehill progressed..... That seems to be happening.
