After everyone criticizing us yesterday, I have heard lots of praise today on different channels. Everyone on NFL Network loves our pick of Lorenzo Booker in the 3rd and that he will be a much better pro than college player. They also praised our selection of Ginn for his special teams ability.

I think everyone (including myself) was more shocked than anything yesterday, but today is taking a step back and looking at what we did overall. The jury is still out, but it looks like it could be a decent draft.

I think the main critique was that they took a WR, when they have a hole at QB. After they took Beck in the second, and the other shoe dropped, so to speak, our pick of Ginn looked much better.

I agree. I think everyone still expected us to still grab a QB in the second though, and they were still shocked the Fins passing on Quinn. I'm glad that we got Beck over Stanton, Kolb, Edwards...he looks far more pro ready than the other 2nd round QBs.

If you read Dave Hyde in the Sun-Sentinel, Wayne Huizenga told him that Randy and Cam told him on Wednesday night their plan for the QB position but that "you have to stick around for the second pick to understand it."

I think a lot of people were upset with the pick (as was I)... just because of how bad it looked...

We all waited and waited to see if he would fall to us... and he did, it seemed like such a no brainer... and then they announce Teddy Ginn, you could see the shock on Quinn's face. Everyone felt so terrible for Quinn... Everyone on ESPN felt bad for him as I'm sure the vast majority of people watching. In hindsight it isn't looking so bad, but in the heat of the moment, when the emotion was there, it seemed like we completely dropped the ball... so to speak.

who gives a **** about quinns emotion, thats the same reason you are all wilded up over the ginn pick. this is a business we got more with ginn and beck then quinn and no one.

Reality is 21 teams past on Quinn not just us, also getting beck who many had rated right up there with Quinn saved our aqua and oranges a$$es.

i actually loved seeing quinn miserable. the whole world seems to have been licking his nuts the past few weeks. i hope he turns out to be a colossal bust

Even on ESPN last night Kiper and some others were defending the pick AFTER they got a chance to see the rest of the 1st day play out. We get Beck, a touch C/G, and blazing RB that I too think will be a better pro than he was in college, and it all makes sense. NFL Network and ESPN at the end of the night were both impressed with the day Miami had. It wasn't great, but, In all of the "LOSERS" lists i've seen, they don't have Miami anywhere.

I would love our Draft if it were Quinn/WR in 2nd instead. I'm happy with the other picks. It would have been nice to get Kalil, but he went right before us. Booker was a nice pick to fill the shoes of Minor. But Ginn was an absolute reach, and everyone knows it.
You can't pass on a possible franchise QB that falls on your lap, you can't. We thought NE overpaid for a WR/returner. We traded our future for it.

Camerons press conference wasn't encouraging either. Way to start your first season coaching. Tell us again cam, he has a nice family and youve known them for years?

I'm trying to have faith, really I am. But this was a mistake.

They are on my list, Beck will be a practice squad guy or a clipboard holder for years. Ginn will have no impact on offense, watch and see.

Even Kiper was saying yesterday that if Quinn was already picked that picking Ginn would not have been a shock, and that if not for the foot injury he would have been a top 10 pick. Besides a lot of mock drafts had us picking Ginn anyways.

I feel that Mueller and Cam saw the samething in Beck as they saw in Quinn and decided to go w/a PLAYMAKER that could help us now.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the chances of him becoming a bust is very possible with an offensive line of Eric Steinbach, Joe Thomas, LeCharles Bentley still pending on the injury list, Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow Jr., and Jamal Lewis. :rolleyes2

So when Beck is starting his First Playoff game and Ginn is producing with Hagans and Chambers and Quinn is still sitting on his *** on the sidelines behind Frye, you'll of course come back and admit you were wrong right? :rolleyes2

Way to support your team dude... I am glad you are on our side. By the way could I borrow you time machine or your razor sharp analitical brain for judging talent without so much as seeing them play on a regular basis
