Delmas played well for us two years ago before being injured and got injured in camp last year leaving a hole at safety. Would you take another chance on him if it was for a minimum contract with incentives and injury protection? He would provide some leadership, cheer leading, and insurance.

If he wants to play, he'll be cheap. I would bring him back, but I wouldn't plan on him being the starting FS. Just depends how he views the situation, though.

Yes, for the minimum but still consider safety a need and draft one high even with him, so he can come in when Delmas gets injured

I agree. I think he wants to be in Miami, bring him back as a backup.

He said he is not done playing and he was around a lot even after the injury with his teammates. He won't get a spot with another team most likely which is why it might make sense as a backup. The problem is your going to maybe have to release a younger player who could contribute on special teams. It's a tough call, I brought it up months ago and most people thought no.

He would be very cheap, players have come back from worse.

I would have no problem with him coming back dependent on physical and medical.

Give him a non-gauranteeed contract, no risk in bringing him to camp.

Yea, limit his playing time, he's a good smart player. Have him play only on third downs like they should do with cam wake and he wouldn't be hard to replace if he goes down again. We can't expect to fill 2 cb spots and a safety spot in 1 offseason

Bring him back to compete for the starting job. I don't care if he was hurt, put the best on the field.
If we draft someone or acquire someone and he loses the starters job, then he can back up.

Even as a back-up, whats the value? He suffers season ending injuries practicing.

Hes yet to play a season without an injury. Even the year he played all 16 games for the Lions he missed every practice during the season, he just couldn't do both.

Move on. Roster spots are valuable. No reason to give one up to a guy whose utterly unreliable.

Yes I woukd bring him back. Dude can play when he is on the field. Injury prone but he had a place on this team

The veteran Thomas Davis, who has battled back from threeACL tears, wasn't quite done yet. He headed back to the locker room vowing to play in Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. Meanwhile, team doctor Patrick Connor talked with his trainers, telling them, "Guys, we can fix this and see if he can come back."
The panthers kept him and it paid off. Delmas has the same affect on our D. He's 28 years old in his prime..cheap and could be a difference maker on our D. We should try one more time
