Two of my favorite players from this draft. Every simulation I ran I would try and end up with these two. Carroo I was worried about the Patriots taking with one of their second round selections. Just something special about this kid. We needed WR depth we were one injury away from counting on Matt Hazel. Drake is the perfect compliment RB for our team. One of the most dangerous players in open space in the draft and a great weapon for Adam Gase to create match up problems for the opposition. He immediately takes Jarvis off punt returns and Damien Williams off Kickoff returns. Thank God for that.

I hate giving up extra picks but for different reasons than most of the posters here. I enjoy the anticipation of the fins being on the clock. In truth I think I would trade all my 5th, 6th, and 7th rounders in almost any draft to move up and grab the players I wanted. People act like those picks are money in the bank. Most late rounders are no better than the free agents that get signed after the draft.

How any Dolphin fan could not be happy about this draft is beyond me. We already came away with the best player in the draft in Tunsil. Which solidifies the line this year and give us the ability to move on from Albert if he cant be convinced to move to guard to finish his career at a reasonable salary. Savings from him being replaced next year about 10 million.

We get Vance Joseph 2 perfect scheme fit corners in Maxwell and Howard, a legit Middle LB for the first time since Zach retired and two weapons that make this offense much harder to defend.

Take a look at the long view. Going into next off season we will have a huge amount of cap space a full compliment of picks because of the compensatory picks coming our way.

I am proud homer when it come to the Dolphins probably because I grew up in an era that being loyal to your team meant everything. I feel sorry for many of you on here that sit by their keyboards just waiting to spin any move the Fins make in a negative fashion. Football season must really be painful for you. I am sure that if we drafted Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith with our 7th round selections you would have been on here complaining that we always draft injured players.

FINS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like the fact that most of us our counting on the comp picks next year.I hate to be negative but I don't see us getting more than one pick extra and we already used that extra pick to trade up this year.

Nah. Pretty sure they will be getting a 3rd, a 4th or 5th, and a 7th next season as compensation. That's what I have heard the team anticipates the league will allocate to them. That's sounds right to me.

Would you have traded this years 3rd, another 3rd if you had it, and this years 4th to a team for Carroo if they had picked him in the 3rd before you had the chance? That is a lot to give up for a player that played in a weak conference against really weak competition and has character concerns to boot. It was a pretty toy pick when there are a lot of other places on the team that needs to be shored up. Whatever happened to all of the talk by Miami's brain trust that they would pick the best player available? Carroo wasn't even the 10th best player available.

I have to disagree. Miami will likely get at most two 5th and a 7. They are dreaming if they think that they will get a 3rd of OV.

The Big 10 is weak?

They will get a 3rd for OV. It is based on the contract signed, and OV's was BIG.

I think it is also based on original draft position. I hope you're right though.

Though I don't think anyone knows completely the formula that is used. I am very sure that original draft position has nothing to do with it.

I just love that we picked a guy name Drake the day Views dropped

Yeah solid tandem to add to the O. It's clear Gase wanted to upgrade/retool/spice up the offense. Grier and company did a great job of finding the types of players the coaching staff desired. Productive play makers in college. They got a shot to continue their production in the Gase system.

Looks like Gase wants competition in the receivers group. Also looks like we should have at least four excellent receivers in a rotation this year.

Waiting for some chucklehead to post a "we still need a QB" comment in 4-3-2...

“This was a best player available pick,” said general manager Chris Grier.

Carroo surely agrees.

“I'm a much faster Anquan Boldin,” Carroo said.

The 6-foot, 211-pound wideout went over 1,000 yards receiving as a junior and caught 10 touchdown passes as a senior.

He’s the young guy in a receivers room that includes Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills.

“You're adding another alpha personality,” Grier said. “It should be interesting.”

Plus add Maxwell and Alonso to the draftees. In the first round we got Tunsil, Alonso and Maxwell thats insane. How can someone be whining about the draft, it's ridiculous.

Because aside from the first and seventh rounds the draft was awful? In the second we traded away a valuable fourth to get a guy who was a marginal second rounder and easily would have been there anyway if we had held fast. Drafted a guy who didn't even start on his college team but is a good KR in the third. Drafted a luxury pick WR in the third. Drafted a KR in the 6th to supplant the KR we just drafted in the third.

Dude got 17 mil a year, right? Or some gaudy, RIDICULOUS number. Pretty sure we'll get that 3rd...
