I gotta hand it to the Tuna, he had me believing that Beck was the man.

now I read that we have done extensive research on Henne and Flacco and they are targets

or is this latest info the real smokescreen?, DOH!!!!!!!!

I don't see Henne beating out Beck, so it would have to be Flacco. And it wouldn't be until 2009 at the earliest, barring injury.

Wait a second... I think my smoke detector is going off.

Or is it?
 
This could also force teams who want them to trade back into the 1st and leave us more options at 32, like a Cason, Sweed or Hardy.

Beck obviously hasnt sold himself to this front office ithey are contemplating trading up into the first round to draft Flacco or Henne. If this front office is truly sold on Beck they wont touch a QB until the 6th round or later. If they spend a 2nd rounder or trade into the first, Beck will be gone after a year

Not so much Ryan lovers as they are Beck haters. Extreme hatred. It's amazing.

most of the people that support matt Ryan dont believe that beck will be a good nfl quarterback, so they want a better prospect. It seems the dolphins seem very interested in another qb prospect, but even the best of Ryan's fans believe that Long was the best player in the draft. i'm hoping we get brohm but would be happy with Henne who did prove himself against NFL caliber defenders.

Can you stop with the smokescreen thing. It's no surprise they will draft a QB.. 'their guy' QB. It's not rocket science. They've said they like Beck. Parcells also said that if he were running the Phins last year that Beck never would've sniffed the field. As he believes all rookie QBs need a few seasons to develop.

Aren't most players who play in need positions.. 'targets'?
 
i smell smokescreen. we have too many needs right now to spend a high draft choice on a QB. we spent the second rounder on beck last year. this year he starts all 16 games so, as sparano says, "we can see what we've got." if he comes through, problem solved. if he flops (badly) you are in the top 5 picks again, in a year where there might actually be a franchise quarterback available. the only way they pick any QB before late, late, late in the draft (if at all), is if they feel someone can step in and start ahead of beck right away. otherwise we let it all play out, and see if we can grab the stud we need next year, that wasn't there (obviously) this year.
