Not a bash thread at all. My days of bashing everything wrong with the Dolphins all the time are over. I grew out of that a while ago. I'm the type of fan whose eyes light up when I see a Dolphin logo. I love seeing the Dolphins on the field and the memories. However, this does start to wear on you year after year that you are for the most part eliminated before the last few games of the season. Not mad but disappointed.

Right there with you man. 22 years I've been watching the fins and there was a time where we had everything going our way, always shy of a super bowl. Now we've become a national embarrassment. I hate seeing it. Then coming into the forums doesn't do you any favors as you get a mixed bag of fanboys and rationale. Then there are the haters of just about everything, blow the team up at the end of the season.

You can see we all have passion, some of it misguided, but passion. It's because we know we've seen the Dolphins be good and just can't ****ing explain why they aren't like that. This season it's easy, we're just not good at anything. Flashes of talent here and there, but that's about it.

Get us a coach. A real, proven, badass, smart coach, and then maybe the dolphins will be a joy to watch.

The fact that we're still on this site shows how much we care about them. Yet they continually **** us as fans. We're insane but we're also dedicated.

draft mistakes. Dion Jordan over Lane Johnson? Devante Parker over an OG or DB? Huge mistakes.

Yeah you can't really blame the players. As long as the player gives it 100 that's all you can ask. Putting the team together falls on the owner down to gm to coaching staff.

Yes we are dude. Was talking to the wife on our way home from our son's house. She said she is just tired of the Fins being the NFL joke. 30 years ago this 26th we were married. Part of her wedding vows were forsaking all other NFL teams to be a die hard Miami fan. Can you believe it? Our youngest son is now driving three hours home from being at that mess.

Oh man, it was old 30 years ago, I can't believe I can't like another team...bad sickness but now I accept losing seasons whereas years ago I had hope.

Yes Art I have been a fan since 1966 when I was 12. I met my wife at a bar she was working at when Dan the man made his first start against the Bills.

30 years ago we were in playoffs every year, just could not beat Buffalo.

Damn it's tough being a dolphins fan....I mean c'mon the sorry ass cowboys beat us!!

I wouldn't think of quitting, my child disappoints me but she is still my child. Know real adult sports fan would ever turn his back on his team.

I have been a fins fan since their first snap of a ball.A friend ask me last night when will the dolphins be in a superbowl again.I can only say I don't think I will see it again in my lifetime. The clowns at a circus could throw together a better team. But I will stick by them if they are 16-0 or 0-16.Football season is just a miserable time for me year after year.

I feel your pain. I'm 52 and can remember those teams from the 70's when I was a kid. During the 80's and 90's, we had our ups and downs, but you always felt like you had a chance. These last 15 years have been tough. But like you, I'm a fan. I'm disappointed, but I'm not going anywhere.

Its really tough right now. I wonder why I waste my Sunday afternoons watching a team that can't stop a 3rd and 15 or field a freakin kickoff. Since 2002, we have been to the playoffs only once. Only once! Since 2006 we have had only one winning season. Every Sunday we sit around optimistic that our Phins will pull out a victory but honestly what difference does that make? We couldn't get through the first round of a playoff game with our offense. Its inept, the leadership and the management is inept and now we are stuck with Tanabaum because he is close with Steven Ross.

What we need to do:

Hire an offensive minded coach (Sean Peyton)
Put Tannehill on the trading blocks
Draft a qb this year
Cut half of the players and fire Lazor
Draft Linebackers, cornerback and Oline

The mistakes this team consistently makes is mind boggling. We are sick of this bottom end of mediocrity but we will all be watching next week hanging on every snap. I bet half of us have aqua color glasses on and think there is still a chance for the playoffs.

Meh I'm used to it. I remember when the season was over in October so at least we got an extra few weeks.
I'm a Leafs fan too, can't get much worse than that.
