Just putting it out there. Andrew Luck is a redshirt Junior. He might not enter the draft. He already shunned the draft once to return to College. He might do it again to have his Senior year at Stanford.

Don't be so sure he will enter. With our luck we'll get the #1 pick and he will return to Stanford. Then we'll draft a DE.

There are some other good QBs though. Landry Jones & Matt Barkley stand out. Both are Juniors as well though.

Weeden is a Senior to look at. If all 4 enter the draft, then things look good. I'd take any of those four. Luck would be tops obviously.

he's a senior i believe. he redshirted his freshman year (2008). he has another year of eligibility, but he is in his fourth year of college and should be graduating this year.

uh i think your wrong, he was eligible to enter last year, meaning he had to be a junior to enter last year, he is in senior year now.

He's graduating this year. That's why he came back this year to begin with. He's not going to come to Stanford after graduation especially when he's the overall #1 pick. It's like some of you are wishing he doesn't come out so we don't get him.

although i think he is a senior so its a moot point, why would he not enter next year even if he was a junior?

he wouldnt gain anything as his stock is as high as ever, and it can only hurt him going back and risking a major injury.

also, whoever gets the number 1 pick is usually a awful team, unless that team obtained it in a trade and got real lucky. so luck cant just hold out because he does not want to play for a poor team because whatever team drafts him will be a pretty poor team.

Either way, the Luck talk needs to slow down. We'd have to lose a LOT of damn games, and this team can still win games when they don't shoot themselves in the foot. Don't be surprised if we manage 5 or 6.

Andrew Luck is a redshirt Junior who promised his mother he would get a degree. So he returned to Stanford to complete that degree which he will obtain this year. He has no reason to stay at Stanford unless he really wants a Heisman and doesn't get it this year.

Weeden is like 28 or something. No thanks.

Right!!!! He's going to pass up NFL money again and put to use his architecture degree? CMon Man. He's coming out. There is no reason to stay at Stanford, especially as the team is going downhill.

HE CAN RETURN NEXT YEAR FOR THE RECORD...Probably enters, but who knows.

Not getting Luck doesn't mean the Dolphins can't get a 1st round QB. Landry Jones is supposed to be Sam Bradford 2.0 and Matt Barkley from USC will be available. Though, just like Luck, all those guys are Juniors.

I might be stating the obvious here but I think something he might gain by staying another year (if it's possible), just might be an education. Isn't that why they go to College or do they really enter just to play ball and forego their education.

He's graduating this year. No point in staying in school.

If we can't get Luck I owuld be happy with Weeden if we have a competent HC/FO. 28 or not. He could start right away and a competent staff could identify a replacement 5years down the road and give him a couple of years to groom to take over from Weeden.

Again, he will be graduating this year.

Sorry, but I want a franchise QB this time around. One that will be the face of the franchise for 10+ years. Weeden can't do that and his body is worn down a bit already from baseball.
