I get that Maclin is probably a pipe dream and an injury risk, but the guy is a freaking stud. He is everything I wish Wallace was. He is fast, quick, hands catcher and a big play machine. If there is any chance to get him I would write that check, whether Wallace is here or not.

Another option is Crabtree. Whi would definitely be more realistic than Maclin, but not as dynamic. Honestly I have not watched him enough to know what his game is about. I do know that he was an ascending player until getting hurt last year which seems to have lingering effects this year.

His 2012 stats were 1,100 yds 9 TD's and 85 rec.

not sure how he is in the red zone with 50/50 balls or as a rout runner. Decent, not great size and is a 4.5 speed guy. Could be a good outside guy to replace Hartline.

Thoughts?

got get nicks...cheapest of all 3 would give us an easy out if it doesnt work...has some red zone capabilities...still would need to draft a physical piece though...a big guy with a large catch radius but yeah i'm down with nicks

Yeah I'd take a flier on Nicks out of those. We need to build the WR corps through the draft. And not by picking late 2nd or 4th rounders. Go get some real talent.

after amari cooper the top wrs in this class all show some rawness in their games...you are gonna have to likely wait on high return with any of them...find a bridge player cause they got a long ways to go when it comes to an nfl route tree...dont think you are getting a dez bryant like impact from jump out of this

Crabtree for sure! The problem with him is he just had an idiot throwing it over him the last two years

Michael Crabtree will be cheaper, and a better match for Ryan Tannehill.

Ryan Tannehill is good at throwing direct laser beams. His weakness is arcing a deep ball into a fast bucket.

In order for Ryan Tannehill to consistently threaten downfield, he needs a strong catch-radius receiver that can win a contested low trajectory deep ball while facing the QB. Someone like a young Larry Fitzgerald.

Jeremy Maclin is a better WR, but we'd be overpaying for attributes that Tannehill can't use.

Michael Crabtree is less exciting, but will be a better match for Ryan Tannehill, and a better bang-for-the-buck.

If St Louis doesn't resign Britt I would be interested in bringing him to Miami. With no QB the guys quietly put up 748 yards and stayed clean. He a big RZ target and if Wallace stays I think the combo of Wallace, Landry, and Britt are a very complimentary trio. Restructure Hartline as he would be a very solid #4 and either see what you have in Hazel and or grab someone in the mid rounds in the draft.

Maclin's not leaving Philly. Crabtree is more disappointing than not. Nicks makes a lot of sense. I'm all for bringing him in on the cheap.

if wallace leaves i just dont think it will work all that well with a crabtree and landrys speed out there together...seems too slow to me...good player though when he's healthy...dinged up a lot

i just dont think philbin will touch britt and i dont think i would either...too many issues for me

You are going to overpay for both. With that being said I doubt Maclin gets out of Philly. I expect San Fran to let Crabtree test the waters as he hasn't lived up to the hype.

I would look at cheaper options like Britt, Nicks, and see if A Johnson and or Fitzgerald become cap casualties.

i dont think fitzgerald has much left...if its older vet and him or andre johnson i'd choose andre johnson but i wouldnt be surprised if he missed 6 games nicked up...i'd try to go younger and with a hungry guy on a incentive laden contract...and i think nicks fits that to a t...i'm sure indy though would like him back...they know reggie wayne isnt long for the game and ty hilton as good as he is is not a #1 wr

I love the idea of bringing AJ here for 2 years as a stopgap player while we draft and develop replacements, but Houston has to part with him first, and he has to be willing to come back to Miami at a reasonable price. Doesn't seem that likely.

If Wallace stays I think a Wallace, Crabtree, Landry starting trio would be exciting. Matthews and Hazel as depth. I am just done with watching Hartline in this offense, such a waste.

I would try to do a trade with the Vikings for Cordarrelle Patterson. They just didn't use him at all this year and at worst would be amazing on special teams.
