maddox as miamis back up?

The Dolphins won't be in the market for only one quarterback but several this offseason. They want a starting-caliber player, a veteran backup to replace Frerotte and likely a young player they can groom for the future. Among the veterans who might draw interest from as a backup is Tommy Maddox, who was released last week. Maddox is a great admirer of new Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey from when Mularkey held the same job in Pittsburgh.

what do you guys think of this? would you like to see maddox back up someone like brees or would you rather have gus come back and play the back up role?
 
Stick with Gus. He is a decent backup and knows the Miami players.

Only if Gus comes cheaper than 5 Million. But Maddox sounds like a bad idea, Pitt relied on Batch last year cause Maddox was losing games when he steps in. I would prefer he stayed away from the team.
 
I would keep Gus over Tommyboy anyday. Gus already knows the system....why you guys keep wanting Maddox, Ramsey and over-the-hill guys who are no better than Gus? :confused:
 
No way! Tommy Maddox is terrible! He's pittsburgh's garbage and he dosen't need to be our Garbage too. Last season he was demoted to 3rd string in favor of Charlie Batch. If you want an old veteran guy keep Gus. he at least knows the system.
 
Seriously, I lived in Steeler country and we do not want "Tommy Gun" even as a backup. He is absolutely horrible!
 
I don't want maddox in a dolphins uniform.
 
gus over tommy i really liked tommy in the xfl but he is horrible now and should just retire, i really really really would just like 1 qb on our roster that knows the system and idk if cleo lemon can count
 
yeah maddox stinks you saw what happened when played against jacksonville he couldn't move the ball, why you think late in the year they played batch
 
Tommy??? did you even watch him play the last few years while he played. He is done. We would be better off starting Brock... and that is not a compliment to Brock
