I was watching the NFL network Top 10 Cornerback Tandems and Madison and Surtain were not on the list, although they were mentioned in one of the "Best of the Rest" segments. Deion was on there as a one man tandem.

10. Everson Walls and Dennis Thurman - Dallas Cowboys.

9. Albert Lewis and Kevin Ross - Kansas City Chiefs.

8. Willie Brown and Skip Thomas - Oakland Raiders.

7. Deion Sanders along with anyone - various teams.

6. J.T. Thomas - Pittsburgh Steelers.

5. Dick Lebeau and "The Hall of Famers" - Detroit Lions.

4. Herb Adderley and Bob Jeter - Green Bay Packers.

3. Ronnie Lott and Eric Wright - San Francisco 49ers.

2. Hanford Dixon and Frank Minnifield - Cleveland Browns.

1. Lester Hayes and Mike Haynes - Oakland Raiders.

Mel Blount was on number six as well.

that's crap. they deserve to be on that list for sure. a lot of those tandems have one great CB and a decent one. madison and surtain were both great - and they were a tandem in their primes.

whoever made that list needs to have their head examined for not including Madison&Surtain....they were a hell of a tandem in their primes.

I really am starting to think that the NFL Network hates the Dolphins, even without our 1-15 record. Sure they'll throw the occasional bone to Marino or Shula because they have to, but they wouldn't put the "no name defense" on the greatest linebacker corps because they "couldn't name anyone" from it.

Who on the top 10 list would you guys personally take off then? I am not arguing, just wanna hear opinions. I personally felt they were great. But who would u all take off?

ive noticed ever since marino left, we are not liked among the media =(

hard to give them a top 10 all time when they never won anything and the guys on the list are either in the HoF or should be, Madison and Surtain (love them to death) are not Hall of Famers

I have noticed that for the last five years the dolphins have become public enemy number 1 in the media eyes . Am i the only fin fan that thinks none of our geys gets any love and that includes Marino , Warfield , OJ, MDUFFIE Jim Jensen and Mercury Morris.

when are dolphin fans going to get treated like all other 32 teams fans ? i dont understand why former dolphin players are not in the media and with Marino getting the boot i think this is a slap in the face to dolphin fans.

I really would take Madison-Surtain over most of those combos. We had the lockdown in the defensive backfield for a decade.

I think you also have to factor in that we played press coverage and put those two guys out on an island.

So because Marino was a mediocre analyst it's a slap in the face to Dolphins fans everywhere? It is all about the talent, not the team they used to play for.

I guarantee you that JT would be an analyst and it has nothing to do with the media's love for Miami
