Miami vs. Buffalo Tidbits (PFW)

On paper it looks like the Dolphins should handle the Bills... It will be a true test however to see how mentally tough this Dolphin team is on the road. They will need to force their will against a Bills team that has their backs against the wall.

Miami at Buffalo
  • Dolphins 20th OFF; Bills 7th DEF
  • Dolphins 11th rushing; Bills 31st vs. run
  • Dolphins 19th passing; Bills 1st vs. pass
  • Dolphins 9th points; Bills 12th points allowed
  • Bills 31st OFF; Dolphins 8th DEF
  • Bills 9th rushing; Dolphins 3rd vs. run
  • Bills 31st passing; Dolphins 20th vs. pass
  • Bills T-28th points; Dolphins T-9th points allowed
  • Bills +3 TO; Dolphins +1TO
  • The Bills are the only team this season not to score a touchdown in the second half.
  • The Dolphins are allowing 2.86 yards per rush.
  • Bills QB J.P. Losman has completed only 45-of-94 passes for 433 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions this season.
  • After scoring 5:20 into the game vs. the Saints on a 10-play, 75-yard drive, the Bills didn’t score again and mustered only 133 yards the rest of the way.

their passing D numbers are skewed, like ours were last year. the reason theyre #1 is because no one needs to pas son them, they give up a million yards per game on the ground

I was about to say the same thing although they still have a very strong secondary..

they also don't throw on them becuase the secondary is good

Damn straight. As we all well remember, Nate Clements was Jay Fiedler's favorite receiver.

the bills have shown that our D can not stop the run in the 4th. i think its cus we have been behind, and the other team has just worn us down. the bills have been relativly good at containing the run in the 1st 3 quarters.

so i expect Brown to only have ~50 or 60 rushing yards going in to the 4th. but if the fins are up by a few scores, he may break 100. but if its close, i dont see him finishing with more than 85 rushing yards.

If Lossman keeps this up, the Dolphins will have an easy victory.

i agree with that. JP can run, but hasnt done much throwing the ball. :shakeno:

  • The Bills have played 4 games and only have 3 points to show for it in the second half.

The game all rests in Losman hands if he can keep the offense on the field and move it a bit just to give the Bills a breather then that will affect the game in a huge way because you can see that Bills D gets worn down because there on the field just like we did last year.

  • Losman is the only QB in the NFL stats department with less than a 50% completion percentage.

  • As a team, the Dolphins have rushed for more than 100 yards in each of the last ten games of this series, including two in which they have surpassed the 200-yard plateau. Over these ten contests, the Dolphins have averaged 147.3 yards rushing per outing

This just reminded me how much smack some bill fans were saying. They would say how JP Losman was going to have an awesome year and that they are going to have the best defense in the league. That is almost laughable now. However, this sunday is a division game and division games are always tough regardless of what any teams are going through.

So whats the word in Buffalo with Losman? I asking because it could be accepting and believeing he'll still work out these early kinks, or are they calling for his head since this team had som much preseason hype and potential. (granted it still very early in the season)
