I got the inclination this year that Gumbel never wanted back to the studio gig, however, Nantz wanted back to the announcing, and he had seniority so Gumbel got thrown in the studio. Seems now they get to allow Nantz and Gumbel to have their wishes, plus pick up one of the best studio hosts out there.

Part of me also thinks JB is glad to get off the set with 2 out of the 3 other guys who act like morons (Bradshaw and Johnson, they do nothing but act like teenage girls and know-it-alls)
 
JB's also going to be doing the commentary for the Vargas-Mosley fight at the end of the month because Jim Lampley is going to be covering the Olympics!
 
Greg Gumbell is the most bland announcer/analyst ever....no excitement whatsoever in his voice. JB is much better.

So with JB on the CBS pregame show does that mean CBS will likely lose one of their current guys? I pray it is Shannon Sharpe(although Boomer is also annoying and should go as well)

Yep. JB is better and so is Nantz. CBS should have insisted that Fox take Gumbel as part of the deal.
 
I can't even tell the broadcasters apart. I just listen to the words, don't really care about the energy or anything. I could watch a game on mute
