Sixty-one percent of baseball fans believe perjury and tax evasion allegations against Barry Bonds are either "probably true" or "definitely true," according to a recent USA TODAY/Gallup Poll.
The poll of 1,005 adults, conducted July 21-23, shows baseball fans are more likely to believe Bonds committed perjury than those not identifying themselves as fans. Eleven percent of baseball fans thought allegations against Bonds were "definitely true" and 50% said they were "probably" true.
Among non-fans, those numbers were 7% and 45%, respectively. Fifteen percent of both fans and non-fans thought the allegations were "probably not true."
